My Thoughts on Orange is the New Black Season 6

orange.jpg

The new season of Orange is the New Black dropped a last week, so naturally, I binge-watched the whole thing.

I enjoyed this season, I think this has been one of the most enjoyable seasons to watch. I felt last season’s riot was really dragged out and from what I remember before then I wasn’t really into gangster Piper or the brief appearance of Ruby Rose.

This season brought the ladies of Litchfield down to MAX. A place we heard lots about but didn’t know anything other than it was horrible.

But I have to say that halfway through the season I was thinking they don’t have it that bad in there. I mean they’re still allowed to roam around pretty freely and get library books and commissary. Even yard games and an aerobic class.

So MAX is basically the same as what they had before but with cells and less freedom in jobs.

Plus this season the guards seem to pay basically no attention to the inmates. At the start, before they were moved to GenPop the guards were harsh. They were abusing the inmates they believed to have caused the riot. But that soon stops it seems and we just begin to see the guards less in general.

Then there was the Fantasy Inmate thing. Which again kind of fizzled. I wasn’t really that interested in it but at least we got to know more about the new guards.

The new guards aren’t really anything special.

I did like that Luschek really embraced his role as an aerobics teacher. That was fun.

And then there was McCullough who was struggling with PTSD after the riot. I wish they had shown more of her and her struggle because it was hardly shown. I mean we saw her in the toilets burning cigarettes into her leg but it never went anywhere. I need more on this.

The only other guard worth mentioning is the one who was dating Aleida. I don’t remember his name. Can’t believe he was willing to smuggle drugs into the prison for Aleida. Not really sure where that will go, well actually I know in the end Aleida is gonna dump him because she’s only using him so she can smuggle the drugs. I don’t think she’s actually in love with him.

Speaking of Aleida, let’s talk about the inmates. First of all, I don’t understand why they focus so much on Aleida. She was really annoying. I guess they needed her because she still has a connection to prison because of Daya but also the drug thing. Either way, I probably could have done with seeing less of her.

Another inmate who was on the outside of a while was Pennsatucky. I totally forgot she escaped last season with Coates. I never liked their relationship but it was nice to see her on the outside having fun. And I think it was smart of her to turn herself in again in the end, I was wondering if they were going to notice she was missing.

I wish they had shown Coates again though when he woke up in the forest and Pennsatucky was just gone. I mean who knows what happened to him? Is he gonna disappear from the show like Bennett did? Because I ain’t about that, I need closure.

Next, we’ll talk about Frieda, who conned her way into Florida for protection. She was very paranoid. I mean it makes sense, you were in MAX once before and screwed over the two biggest mob members and so obviously people are out for revenge. But at the same time, it wasn’t very interesting, I just felt bad for Suzanne as she was being used.

Okay, now we can talk about C and D block. It took me most of the series to figure out the difference and I’m still not sure if I do. But basically, we have two sisters Carol and Barb who each runs their own block. The two sisters have had rivalry ever since arriving at Litchfield.

I thought their story was interesting. Two sisters who originally conspired to kill their younger sister together grew to hate each other. I wish there was more backstory. But I guess that’s all the backstory you need?

So the whole season is building up for this big fight between C and D block which is spearheaded by the two sisters. And you think it’s going to be really dramatic but it actually turns into everyone just playing kickball.

Meanwhile, the two sisters are nowhere to be seen at the fight as they have snuck off together to try and get into Florida. I was actually surprised by this, I didn’t see it coming.

Sadly, their plan fails as they begin to fight each other instead. I suppose I wasn’t too surprised that the two ended up killing each other, as you could see that’s where it was heading. But I am sad it had to end this way. Of all the new characters, they were definitely the most interesting. I mean they built these two up so much through the whole season just to have it end this way…tragic.

So I guess we won’t know any more about them in the new season, and Freida can rest easy at night.

Another new character who I thought was really interesting was Daddy. Yes, that’s the name she goes by and I don’t think she’s ever called anything else. I thought she had an interesting backstory and I hope we see more of that. She was Barb’s right-hand woman and the supplier of drugs for D Block. She also plays the love interest to Daya, who becomes addicted to the drugs Daddy gives her to deal with the pain she suffers from being abused by the guards.

Daya changed pretty quickly this season, giving into the drug addiction and getting her mom to help her sneak drugs into prison. Didn’t think she was going to be the type, but I suppose prison makes you do things you didn’t think you would do. I didn’t really know what to think of her relationship with Daddy, but I know it’s only happening because Daya is lonely. Can’t see it lasting long but I guess we see.

It’s also weird to see Daya acting like a thug, again she doesn’t seem like the type. Then again, neither did Piper when she was running that panty business but anyway…

Other people in D Block, we had Nicky and Lorna. We didn’t see very much of Lorna, but we know she is pregnant and doing okay for herself, keeping out of trouble. Sort of. When Nicky joined Barb’s gang as a sober companion, Lorna kind of got drafted in too. She was willing to fight even though she was pregnant. Luckily, Nicky kept her safe…

Or did she? While everyone else is out playing kickball, it looks like Lorna goes into labour. Although we could see there was blood on her clothes, so I’m going to take a guess and say the baby doesn’t make it.

Which I don’t think Lorna will be able to handle.

I wish we had seen more of Lorna and also see her husband visit her. I felt like of all the people to have visitors, she definitely would have them. Because I kept wondering if he was visiting her during the whole pregnancy thing, I like to think he did even if they didn’t show it.

I found Nicky to be a bit annoying this season. Not sure why though. I mean I enjoyed watching her try to stop Barb from attacking C Block because she wanted to protect Red. But other than that, I don’t know, there was something about her that bothered me.

Oh! And there was the radio show with Cindy and Flaca, again something I wanted more of just because it was interesting. But Cindy was going through her own issues because of her lying about the riot and causing trouble for Taystee’s trial.

Poor Taystee, she was taking the blame for the whole riot due to her fellow inmates ratting her out and she was determined to fight for the truth. I thought it was brave of her to step up, but after everything, we know she just wanted justice for Poussey. I was so sad to find out that she lost the trial. I had hope that maybe she would win by some miracle but looking at the facts, there wasn’t a chance she would have won.

I think it was nice to see Caputo fight for her though. I mean it’s great Caputo was still willing to fight the good fight after everything that happened. And I have to admit, he and Fig are cute together.

Moving on to C Block, we had Badison… I don’t know what to say to her other than she’s probably the worst new character. I first I thought she would be interesting, she had some kind of reputation but honestly, she’s just annoying. Her backstory wasn’t even that great. Wasn’t really sure what her deal was with Piper other than she didn’t like Piper taking charge of kickball. I don’t know. She wasn’t my favourite.

Then Piper and Alex. As usual, Piper really annoyed me, I mean her being worried about Alex while everyone else is trying to cover themselves from the riot. Typical Piper. I suppose she was pretty quiet this season other than talking about her wedding to Alex and the kickball thing. But still doesn’t make me like her more.

I did think it was cute she had her prison wedding with Alex before her release. If anything it gave me hope for the relationship. I did think Piper was gonna get annoyed that Alex was going behind the scenes to get Madison to stop bullying her and that was gonna be the end but they made it through.

That being said, I wonder how the relationship will go with Piper on the outside and Alex on the inside. I mean Alex is getting involved with the gang, and Piper isn’t a fan but Piper has never been able to control Alex. Meanwhile, Piper will have her freedom again and I wonder how she will adjust back to normal life.

I feel like Piper will very easily cope on the outside. But will she keep coming back to visit her wife? I think she will, plus she’ll probably want to get more opinions on the memoir she’s writing.

Alex will probably still do the mob thing if it means she’ll be protected. Though after kickball and the death of the C and D Block leaders I don’t know if the rivalry and gangs will continue. But at the same time, gangs usually form in the prison and I imagine Daddy and Badison will keep the gangs alive. I can already tell Daddy will probably be a better leader than Badison. But I guess we see.

I think the only other person to talk about is Red. I felt bad for her being thrown under the bus by everyone else. She has done so much for the other girls and they just turned on her. But she soon fell in with Carol’s gang with the intent of taking down Frieda. I feel like because Red had nothing left she was just spending all her energy on Frieda.

Though I thought it was out of character for Red to just attack Frieda on her way to visitation, especially when she was about to see her grandchildren for the first time. I guess her rage took over when she saw Frieda, causing her to act out.

I wonder what this will mean for Red when she comes out of the SHU…I imagine her family will not forgive her for missing the visitation. But I think there is potential for her to come back and help Lorna deal with the baby situation. Or she’ll come back and be a gang boss because we know she’s good at being a leader. There are endless possibilities.

I think the only other thing to mention is Blanca not being able to get her early release. I think Blanca was one of those characters who is always overlooked. But this time, we were kind of excited for her because she wanted to get out of prison and start a family with her boyfriend. She was so close to being free too.

It was really just the moment when Diablo was standing there with the flowers and he didn’t see her. It was heartbreaking.

And so I think that wraps up all of the things that I wanted to say on the new season of Orange is the New Black. I feel like I am probably missing some things but these are the things that stuck out to me or I felt like I needed to mention.

I am excited about next season to see where it goes. Though I don’t imagine we will be seeing many more seasons after this with Piper being released from prison, after all, the whole series is based on a memoir written by Piper. So with her no longer being in prison it kind of makes you wonder when the end will be.

Either way, I’m interested to see where we go from here and how everything will wrap up. I always hope for a happy ending but with this kind of show, I feel there will be happy endings but also sad ones for some people. So I guess we wait and see who will be treated well and who won’t.

In the meantime I am going to have to find some other shows to fill the void now that I have to wait yet another year for a new Orange is the New Black season. If you have any recommendations, let me know.

My Current TV Shows

Today I thought I would talk you through my current TV shows. I felt the need to do this because I feel like I am posting about a lot of TV shows lately and sometimes it is hard to keep track haha. So if you were ever interested to know what shows I am following and currently watching then this is the blog post for you. Although, if you follow me on social media right now you probably think the only show I watch is How To Get Away With Murder…but that is only the tip of the ice burg with the shows I watch.
So yeah, these are all the shows I am currently watching that are still on air. I am also going to put them in the order I started watching them because that might help me remember them all. I swear I don’t think I watch that much TV until someone asks me what I watch or I am talking about the shows to someone else…

The Vampire Diaries (2009 – 2017)

This was one of the first TV shows I really got into and started following. I think Glee was the first. But Vampire Diaries came up behind it. At first, I didn’t want to watch it because I thought that it was going to be similar to Twilight. You know, a vampire falls in love with a human, there’s a bit of a love triangle, they have werewolves…But no. Completely different.
I’ll admit when I first started to watch it I couldn’t get past the similarities because I was hardcore Twilight fangirl at the time but as the show progressed I realised it was so much more than I originally thought.
I got into this show around the time it was halfway through season 2. My friend would not stop talking about it and so one night I caved and finally decided to watch it. From then I was hooked. I fell in love with the Katherine – Elena’s doppelganger – and everything about the show and the characters.
And now, I am dreading the end of this series. I was sad to find that season 8 was going to be its last season. I was hoping for more. I wanted the show to go on forever. But I guess all good things must come to an end. All I hope is that everything works out because from the last episode that I saw, things were not going well. I hope we get the ending we deserve.

Pretty Little Liars (2010 – 2017)

I started this show on a whim. Didn’t really know much about it. Started watching it after I had finished watching Gossip Girl because I love my high school drama shows.
I quickly realised this show was more than just about high school drama haha. But I fell in love. I’m not quite sure what it was about the show that made me fall in love but once I was hooked I was all in. I needed to know who A was.
And when we found out that Alison was alive – that was a big shock to me. The show just kept stepping up its game so how can you not love it? I even got so into the show I started making YouTube videos about it, talking about my own theories on who A might be and sharing my thoughts on the show.
When the show was put on Netflix, it wasn’t long before my entire school year at the time was talking about it, which made it very hard to avoid spoilers if you didn’t keep up with the show. Luckily, I always did. It was always interesting coming into school to hear about people’s theories on who  A was.
It was safe to say we were all disappointed in the last A reveal but it’s now at the point where we are 10 episodes left from the show ending and so, we might as well stick it out and see who the real big bad A is. I haven’t read the books, but I do know who was revealed to be A in them. But something tells me the TV show is not going to end the same as the books so, who is A? I have no idea. But I’m dying to find out.

Nashville (2012 – 2017)

I started this show after Glee ended and my friend suggested it to me. They said it was similar to Glee because they also had original songs. Definitely not like Glee but I do like the songs haha.
Honestly, it took me a while to get into this show. I only really stuck around for Juliette in seasons one and two but then season three hit and that’s when I really fell in love. I think I started watching this show during season 2. I seem to always find good shows when they are in their second season haha.
But what I didn’t expect from this show was just how quickly I actually fell in love with it and how attached I would become to the characters. I have been through quite a few emotional ups and downs with this show but none can compare to the latest episode with Rayna. I made a video on my feelings on that one.
I just was not expecting her to go that way or that the actress wanted to leave the show. But I will forever be glad that the show got picked up for season 5 after it was cancelled. I don’t know how I would have coped knowing it had ended on a cliffhanger.

Orange is the New Black (2013 – )

This show might be the reason why I decided to start up a Netflix subscription. I started it on a whim during the summer 2 years ago and since then I have been hooked.
Basically, when season 3 was released everyone online wouldn’t stop talking about it so I finally wanted to see what all the fuss was about. And now I know, it’s a really good show.
Like everyone I have my issues with Piper but everyone else on the show is great. As it is a Netflix Original, the show is highly binge-watch worthy but also it is agony waiting every year for a new season once you finish the current one.
I am still not over how they ended the latest season and so, I need the next one ASAP.

RuPaul’s Drag Race (2009 – )

I never intended to actually get into this show, it just kind of happened haha. I was at a sleepover one night with my friends and one of them put it on for something to play as background noise and suddenly we were all paying more attention to it than anything else.
This was definitely the show I didn’t realise I needed into my life until it came into it. It is fabulous. I have made blog posts talking about it before. I have met Bianca Del Rio, winner of season 6.
This show is amazing. I can’t say enough good things about it. Meeting Bianca was a dream come true, and finding out that drag queens come to the UK on a regular basis is also a dream come true. I mean forget meeting other celebrities, drag queens are who you really wanna meet.
Also, the last All Stars season was definitely something that’s not to be missed. And season 9 is right around the corner. This is one of those shows I can see going on forever and I need it to, because I’m not sure I am going to find something equally as fabulous to replace it with.

Suits (2011 – )

This was a recommendation from my boyfriend. I wasn’t really sure if I would be into it but it turns out lawyers are something that I can be into.
I’m not really sure what it was about the show that got me into it, I think it was mainly just the whole thing of Mike being adorable and also how they were managing to get away with Mike being a fraud for so long.
Part of me does wonder how long this show can go on though. It’s one of those things where it’s based on something and then once that thing is gone, what direction can the show go in?
That being said, the season 6 finale was everything I needed it to be. I am so excited for season 7. But please can we let Louis find love? That’s my main concern right now.

How To Get Away With Murder (2014 – )

My newest love. I have probably talked about this show enough for you to know how I feel about it and how I got into it. So I’ll just not say anything more.
If anything I just wanted to know how they would progress after season 1 because they got away with the murder. But hey, they pulled it off and we are now gearing up for season 4. Am I prepared? Definitely not.

And those are all my current TV shows. To be honest I did think I had more shows than that, but I guess not haha. I guess in my head I was also counting shows I rewatch and ones that I tune into from time to time. But these are the ones that I watch every week without fail and can’t wait for new episodes of.
I know some of them are ending really soon which is why I need to work on finding some more shows. Or maybe I need to take a break from TV shows and do something else. Maybe read more or something. TV has just become a really easy thing to turn to at the end of the day. Even though I did make a New Years’ Resolution to read more this year.
But no matter what I always have time for a little TV, especially if it’s for one of my favourite shows.
Anyway, I think that’s everything that I had to say. Well, I could probably talk more about these shows if you wanted but I feel this blog post is getting a bit long so I will leave it here. Let me know what your favourite TV shows are below, and if you have any suggestions for shows I might like that would also be great. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have some more TV to watch.

How To Get Away With Murder

The newest TV show in my life.
I know I have already made 2 videos in January talking about this show but is it really an official love if I don’t also make a blog post about it?
I didn’t really know what to expect when I first started to watch it, although from the first five minutes I was hooked. And I don’t remember the last time it took five minutes for me to be hooked on a show. Normally it takes an episode or two but this was from the get-go. I needed to know why/how these 5 students committed murder and I needed to know now.
Luckily for me, the first two seasons are on Netflix which meant I got to binge-watch and learn about everything that happened.
And just when you thought things were going to calm down after season one, season two gets even crazier. The way they lay out the show is amazing. They show you just enough of that “one night” to make you want to know what happened. And it’s just so good.
I have to admit, I did find the whole Rebecca/Sam murder thing way more interesting than the Hapstall murders. But I think it’s because Rebecca and Sam had more to do with the main characters. That being said though, that Hapstall case escalated quickly.
And don’t even get me started on finding out about what happened to Wes’s mother and finding out about Frank killing Annalise’s baby and also killing Lilia which started this whole thing.
Like what the hell Frank?!
Technically everything that happened is his fault. But at the same time I don’t want to see him be punished? Like I don’t know guys. It’s weird.
I actually really like Frank as a character, he started off as being so mysterious and the one to just “take care” of problems but we’ve also seen him break down and go off the grid. It’s so crazy.
Not to mention he recently just confessed to Wes’s murder which he didn’t actually do so now you can’t help but be like “wtf Frank?!”. I know he’s doing it to make things right with Annalise and everyone else but at the same time I don’t want him to go down for this because it’s not his fault.
Gosh this show.
Plus, the fact they decided that Wes was going to be the next to die – OF ALL PEOPLE. Like why him? Why not someone else? I had this spoiled for me when I was doing a Google search of the show and I was not pleased. I just kept waiting to see how it had happened and I’m just not okay.
I have also been so used to not having to wait to see what happens that waiting is killing me inside slightly. I need to know who killed Wes and how. In my latest video talking about the show I went through the main characters and I don’t think there’s any of them that could have done this.
Which makes me think about if it was someone outside of the main cast, but who?! I really don’t know.

Not to mention they had those flashbacks of Wes with all the characters in the last episode and none of us were prepared for that. Like that’s not okay to play with our emotions like that.
And also Annalise is in jail, which everyone on the internet can’t believe because she is literally the only person on the show to not have committed murder so it’s like – what? Haha. Although Annalise is strong so I believe she will make it through prison.
I also believe that it is Bonnie’s time to step up and be a lawyer. I know she’s not that confident but if Annalise believes in her then so do I. She can do this.
But I guess we don’t really know what happens until we see what they do about Frank admitting to the murder…
Gah!
I’m just so excited for the new episode. I need all the answers.
I’m sure people online have lots of good theories so I might see what there is out there. I just need to know what happens. And I also hope that the rest of the cast stay alive because I am not about shows who think it’s cool to kill off the main cast members. That sounds weird to say but there are a lot of shows that do that.
Anyway, I think that’s all I have to say on the show right now. I’ll probably have loads more thoughts as we continue through this season so expect more tweets/YouTube videos/blog posts – whatever way I can use to get my thoughts out about this show. I just have to share.
I hope you enjoyed reading, if you have any theories or suggestions for who might have killed Wes/how let me know, it would be great to know what you think and hopefully I’m back with a new blog post soon. 😛

RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 2 Queens!

I just finished watching the first episode of All Stars 2 and I am dying. This season is such a step up from the first All Stars season and I love it.To me, All Stars 1 was really just there so we could see Chad Michaels win. I didn’t really like the team thing and wasn’t a huge fan of some of the queens that season. I just felt like it was kind of all over the place with challenges etc.
So when All Stars 2 was announced I was excited to see what would happen. Especially since this round, there isn’t a clear queen that stands out above the rest. Not to mention RuPaul has gotten rid of the teams and is now adding more plot twists than I can handle.
First of all, the top 2 girls will lip sync for their legacy rather than having the bottom 2 lip sync to stay in the competition. And not only that but if they win the lip sync they will win $10,000 and the chance to eliminate one of the other queens in the bottom 3.
Like…are you serious?
$10,000 for winning a lip sync? No one is messing around this season. And on top of that, eliminating one of your friends from the competition? That’s tough and very emotional. These girls are sisters and to pit them against each other is pure evil. And makes for great television.
Not to mention they decided to bring back the most dramatic queens from previous seasons. Didn’t we all get a little bit excited when we heard Coco Montrese and Alyssa Edwards were coming back for round 2? And who doesn’t love a Rol-aska-tox reunion?
So maybe this season of All Stars should have really been called the season 5 reunion. I feel like the other seasons aren’t as fairly represented because of all the season 5 queens but that’s okay. I hope this means in All Stars 3 some more past queens will have their time to shine. Especially if Tatianna from season 2 can make her way in with all the newer queens.
Anyway, time to talk about the contestants of this season of All Stars. I think I will list them in order of what season they were in. It seems like the most logical way to do this thing.

Season 2

Tatianna. Girl. Season 2. I was not expecting that. My whole thought process for them choosing contestants for All Stars 2 is that they would pick queens from season 4-8. Mainly because the last All Stars was just after season four, so if All Stars is every 4 seasons then shouldn’t the contestants be from the last 4 seasons? If that makes sense…
Either way, it doesn’t seem to be the case with Tatianna on the scene.
I honestly am not a big fan of her. She doesn’t seem to stand out among the other queens in my opinion. She doesn’t have as big of a personality as the queens around her so to me she’ll just fade into the background.
That being said, she did make an impression on me when she was one of the top 2 in the first episode. I liked her spoken word piece at the talent show. It was something new for me that I have never seen before, and never expected from Tatianna. So I applaud her for being out of the box with her style.
One thing I really want to know is who she would have eliminated if she had won the lip sync. She wasn’t having as hard a time as Roxy was when it came to deciding which queen to send home. So I am interested to know who she thought wasn’t worthy of the competition. Especially since everyone underestimated her, being the girl from season 2.

Season 4

Phi Phi. I think out of all the queens to come back Phi Phi has changed the most.
Her drag style has definitely changed a lot. My friend Nathan has been showing me her 365 days of drag on Instagram and it is amazing.
She has also recognised how awful she was on her season of Drag Race and one of the reasons why she is now on the show is to help fix her image a little. To show people she isn’t just that bitchy girl. She is a whole lot more. And I’m excited to see the nice side of Phi Phi.
Her performance in the talent show was not the best. Although I think it’s because she chose to sang acapella and that was a risk. To be honest I was not sure how to feel about her choice to sing after the whole singing challenge in season 4. I mean I know she likes to sing but that doesn’t always mean it’s good.
But I’m glad she’s still in the competition and I can’t wait to see what kind of drag looks she will pull off later in the season.

Season 5

Alaska. Of course she walks in wearing a bin bag, what more could we expect from her? I loved it.
I was also surprised to see she wasn’t even a little bit excited to be reunited with her friends from season 5. It seems Ro-laska-tox is officially over.
I know Alaska wanted to break out of their little group to stand out on her own in her season and so it’s understandable why she is creating distance from Roxy and Detox. But I would have liked them to be Ro-laska-tox one more time. They were fun.
But I am excited to see Alaska shine on her own where she isn’t grouped in with her friends or living in the shadow of Sharon Needles.
It’s Alaska’s time to shine hunty.
I was actually surprised by Alaska’s talent show performance. I was initially worried when I heard she was going to sing because her singing in season 5 was not great. But she actually turned it out and did really well. I also loved her outfit. So pink and pretty.
I am interested to see what else she can do when she’s working on her own.
Roxxxy. I love her.
I am glad to see that she is upfront and real about what went down in season 5. She was a bitch and she is sorry. She is now ready to move on and be a little bit nicer than before. But that’s not going to get in the way of her getting the crown.
She still looks as fabulous as ever and her burlesque performance was to die for. I also think it’s great her and Detox are still friendly. At least we’ll always have Re-tox haha.
When she found out she was in the top and had to eliminate one of her fellow queens she was very upset. It was not something she wanted to do and I liked her approach to the situation. She was fair and she talked to all the girls and decided to base the decision off of the judges’ critiques and not her friendships and personal feelings.
I can’t imagine how hard it was for her to do. And it really showed how much she has changed from her season. If this was season 5 she probably would have had no problem throwing someone under the bus to get rid of them. But I was proud of her progress. And I do think her elimination was right.
And also congratulations to her for winning the first lip sync and $10,000. You go Miss Thing.
Detox. Honestly, she was my least favourite of the Ro-laska-tox trio. I’m not really sure why but she was.
To me she wasn’t really standing out that much in this episode. Her talent show performance wasn’t my favourite. I know she was singing but because it was auto-tuned I didn’t know how to feel. Plus, the neon paint was just…a lot haha.
I don’t have much to say about Detox but I am interested to see what she can bring outside of Ro-laska-tox too. To me, Roxxxy was probably the one out of all of them that really wanted to win the competition. The others didn’t seem to want it quite as bad as her.
Alyssa. Back rolls? I feel like we heard that joke almost any time someone talked to Alyssa haha.
To be honest I was only ever interested in her because of her drama with Coco Montrese. I mean wasn’t that all why we watched season 5?
Alyssa is an okay queen. I feel like she can do well in the competition but maybe not enough to win.
Her performance at the talent show is interesting. I mean the puppet was kind of insane but the dancing was good. She knows she can dance and she works it.
I’m looking forward to see how far she goes in the competition and if we will actually learn what Alyssa’s secret is on this season of All Stars.
Coco. Orange you happy to see me? Dead. Coco had a great entrance to this season.
Again, she was only really interesting to me because of her drama with Alyssa. But when she walked into the work room and Alyssa said “that was so three seasons ago” I knew they had kissed and made up.
Her talent show performance was not that great. Her dancing wasn’t very interesting and the whole performance was confusing to me. I didn’t really know what to make of it.
So when Roxxxy decided to eliminate her I was okay with that. I don’t think she’ll be missed.
Although it might not be over for her.
When she was leaving RuPaul appeared on the TV in the work room and told Coco that she could come back. All she has to do is get revenge?
I am interested to see where that goes. I want to know what’s going to happen and if Roxxxy should watch her back…
Season 6

Adore. My babe. I love her. She was one of my favourite queens from season 6 and so I was so happy to see her back as an All Star.
Although I don’t think she expected the competition to be what it is. I felt so bad for her when she got the critiques she did from Michelle. I know she didn’t cinch her waist for the talent show but I know she finds it easier to sing without a corset and I think that’s understandable.
I also think Adore has stepped up her drag since drag race. It might not be as polished as the other queens but it’s her own style.
I admit she might not win but I still didn’t want her to be the first queen eliminated. I know she has more to offer and so I’m glad she gets to stay for another day.

Season 7

Ginger Minj. In my opinion she should have won season 7 as she is a very well-rounded queen. She has got the look, she can do comedy and she can also sing too. Who knew?
When Ginger sung for the talent show I was really surprised. I didn’t know she could sing. And I really liked it. I thought her performance was great.
I don’t really know what to expect of Ginger for this competition but I hope she goes far. Whether she will win the crown or not is unclear.
Like I said before, I don’t think there is a clear winner for this season of All Stars but I would definitely think Ginger would be one of the ones who could make her way to the top. Provided she doesn’t get eliminated by another queen first.
And last but not least, Katya. I definitely didn’t appreciate Katya as much as I should have on season 7 and so I am glad she is back.
I also like that she has decided that this season she is going to step up her game and not hold back. Katya is definitely one of those queens that has a lot more potential that we didn’t see before. So I can’t wait to see her shine.
I also enjoyed her talent show performance. She stood out a lot more than the other queens although I do wish we had seen a full performance. I feel like we missed a lot.
Do I think she has the potential to win? Yes. I don’t think we should dismiss the season 7 queens just because their season wasn’t that great.
So those were all my thoughts on the queens so far in this season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars. While I do love some more than others I wish them all luck. This season is not going to be an easy one and so I have no idea who the winner will be.
I also don’t know how I am going to make it through this season if they are going to keep adding twists like this. If the first episode got me worked up into an emotional mess I don’t even want to know how the other episodes will treat me. Although it might get easier for the queens to be eliminated as time goes on. Who knows?
All I know is I can’t wait for the next episode because it’s going to be an All Stars snatch game! I wonder what that’ll be like and who the queens will be impersonating. Hopefully they chose some new characters that we didn’t see in the last snatch game although Adore’s Anna Nicole Smith was a personal favourite of mine. But still, it’s going to be another exciting episode and I am on the edge of my seat waiting to find out who will be the next queen to be eliminated and who will be doing the elimination… It’s all so dramatic this season and I love it.

RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 8 Top 4!

We are rapidly approaching the finale of RuPaul’s Drag Race season 8!

I am both excited and sad that in a few weeks there is going to be a new Drag Race Super Star. I mean this season has been so amazing I just don’t want it to end. I have loved every single queen this season and so to have it come down to this top 4 is crazy.
I just love them all so much that I don’t know who will win. And I don’t know who will go home to make it top 3. It’s a close competition this season and so it’ll be a great finish.
But until we know the winner, I thought I would give you my thoughts on the top 4. And also maybe talk about some queens I am sad to have seen go. So without further ado: our top 4!

Bob the Drag Queen
Who doesn’t love Bob? I mean I’ll admit sometimes she can be a bit too loud but she’s pretty great. I agree with Michelle that she can’t do full on glam but other than that she’s a solid queen. I don’t think I really have a bad thing to say about her. I can now fully see why Bianca del Rio loves her. And I still live every time she walks into the room purse first. Can we please have the purse be an accessory in future seasons to come?

Chi Chi DeVayne
Sassy, Southern gal. Did not think much of her at first. But she has definitely proved that she is more than just a cheap queen. I loved her puppet portrayal of Bob. It reminded me a lot of when Ben de la Creme did Bianca del Rio in season 6. And I’m not saying that’s a bad thing. Still, there’s still something about her that isn’t standing out to me. I don’t know what. I think I’m too focused on Bob and Kim Chi to really care about the other top 4. So I guess you could say I’m a little biased…is that bad?

Kim Chi
I can’t hate anything about Kim Chi. Not a thing. She’s so wonderful. I mean yeah, the runway walk and the dancing aren’t great but she can do everything else. I loved Kim Chi’s book ball story/runways so much. I just love everything about her. So to me Kim Chi can do no wrong. And her friendship with Naomi is super cute. Vote for Kim Chi!

Naomi Smalls
Definitely someone I underestimated and didn’t really like. At first I thought she was just relying on body but she is so much more than that. I think the main reason I don’t like her is that she can be really catty – especially with Derrick in the last episode but at the same time she did redeem herself. So I’m not really sure where I stand with Naomi. All I know is, is that she definitely more than the model type I thought she was going to be.

And those would be our top 4 girls! Clearly I am leaning more towards Kim Chi and Bob the Drag Queen as my favourites but who will actually win, I have no idea. I just know I don’t want this season to end. It feels like it’s been going way too quickly.
Now moving on to some queens that I was sad to see leave the show:

Acid Betty
So if you follow me on Twitter, then you know I had a lot of love for Acid Betty. I loved her runway looks and her personality so much. I just didn’t want her to go. Sadly, her Snatch Game really was flat and I was surprised that was the case. She doesn’t strike me as the type of queen to flake on her impersonations. So I do understand why she had to leave, but that doesn’t mean I was happy about it.

Derrick Barry
Okay so I’m maybe not that upset Derrick is gone. I mean it was between her and Bob and so…Derrick was right to go home. I’m surprised she lasted as long as she did though. I mean she tried so hard to break out of her Britney impersonation. But she was still Britney. Although I did like that she always stood up for herself. And I also give her credit for at least trying to do her eyebrows differently, because that’s not an easy thing to do. It’s hard enough to fill in your eyebrows without overdrawing them nevermind paint ones on from scratch…

Thorgy Thor
I really loved Thorgy. She was so fun. I mean I wish she had at least won a challenge before she left. It wasn’t as if she was horrible at everything. Until the challenge where she got eliminated of course. I just feel like she had so much more potential. I don’t know. There’s just something about her that made me want to see more of her so I was sad to see her leave. But at the same time it’s understandable why she was eliminated. She was a bit too scatterbrained I think. Still, I look forward to seeing her in the reunion.

And so this brings me to the end of my second post about RuPaul’s Drag Race season 8! Like I said, I loved all the queens this season, some more than others but I am super excited to see what the finale holds in store for us.
Will I make another blog post when the winner is revealed? I don’t know. I think it depends on how I feel about it. Either way I will definitely tweet about it so if you want to know my thoughts on the finale then follow me on Twitter.
In the mean time, feel free to check out my last blog post on Drag Race, sharing my first impressions on the season 8 queens. We have definitely come a long way from when these girls first walked into the work room.
Who do you think will be America’s Next Drag Super Star? Let me know in the comments below!

The RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 8 Queens!

A new season of Drag Race. A group of new queens battling it out for the title of America’s Next Drag Super Star. It’s safe to say I’m excited. Although I am very hesitant when it comes to new drag queens. This is because when I first started to watch Drag Race there had already been 6 seasons and I liked all the queens in those seasons, but then when it came to the season 7 queens…I was not the biggest fan.
So I was a little hesitant to meet the queens of season 8. What if they were similar to the ones from season 7? It’s not that I didn’t like those queens it was just that I didn’t find a real connection to them like I had with queens from past seasons. So I was worried it would be the same with the season 8 queens.
But after watching the season 8 premiere I can say that I am willing to give these queens a chance. I think this is going to be a really great season of Drag Race and I can’t wait to see what lies ahead. The queens this season definitely seem a lot livelier than the ones from last season. At least no one will be telling any of these queens that they need to wake up. *cough* Pearl *cough*
Before I get into my thoughts on the individual queens I want to talk about the premiere episode as a whole. I. Loved. It.
Not only was this the first episode of the season, it was also the 100th episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race and so you know it was going to be special. I had already seen the promo photo for this episode with RuPaul and all the past winners of Drag Race and so I was dying to know what that was about.
I love all of the winners of Drag Race. They are all so glamorous and wonderful and perfect. And so to see them all in the one photo it’s almost too much to handle. And I enjoyed seeing them all in this episode. Apart from Bianca del Rio which I was sad about although they did have a pretty convincing stand-in.
But not only were the past winners back, they also brought back some other drag queens from past seasons too. As well as some of my favourite design challenges. Which I was living for. I love all the design challenges on Drag Race, some of them look like so much fun. So it was cool to see the new queens take on these old challenges.
The only thing I would say though is that because everyone was working on different things we didn’t see as much in the work room as we normally do which I was upset about. But the final products everyone produced were amazing.
Also no Santino again this season? I’m sad about that. I missed Santino last season.
We also have a new runway song this season which again I don’t love. I thought Sissy That Walk was a great runway song. I suppose it just caught me off guard more than anything. I’ll see if I warm up to it as the season goes on.
But overall it was a fabulous episode and I loved that it was the 100th episode too. It makes me super excited to see what the rest of the season will be like.
Now moving on to our season 8 queens…

Acid Betty
I love her. I got good vibes from her right away. I love her style and her attitude and she seems really fun. I’m excited to see how far she makes it in the competition. I also loved her money ball dress. That was one of my favourite challenges on Drag Race. So I was excited to see it again.

Bob the Drag Queen
Again a really fun queen. I know Bianca del Rio has a soft spot for her so I have been keeping an open mind about her. She’s pretty great. Very clearly a comedy queen but there’s nothing wrong with a good comedy queen. Also girl knows how to make a pair of curtains look stylish. Even if they come with a horrible accessory.

Chi Chi Davayne
Not very memorable to me. She came in wearing a trash bag which has been done before. Don’t really have much else to say since I don’t remember her. Although I will say I was disappointed in her glitter ball look. Not very glittery. And she’s a drag queen.

Cynthia Lee Fontaine
As soon as she walked into the workroom I knew I was going to dislike her. She is a loud queen. And I think she is trying way too hard to come up with a catchphrase. I feel like she’s trying to be Yara Sofia but is failing miserably. So please stop girl. Because I get a headache every time you come on screen. Her sugar ball dress was nothing special. All I can think of in that challenge was Detox’s neon candy dress haha that was fierce.

Dax ExclamationPoint
Girl is tall. I don’t really remember a lot about her either haha. She had the Hello Kitty runway look and I don’t think I was a fan of it. But I like her drag name so I am hoping she has more to offer us.

Derrick Barry
I love her. I mean girl knows how to do Brittany. As soon as she walked into the workroom I was LIVING. Although my fear is she doesn’t know how to do anything but Britney but I think we all have that fear. Her Christmas outfit kind of reminded me of Carmen Carrera’s as it showed a lot of body.

Kim Chi
Another queen that I instantly fell in love with. She’s so cute in or out of drag. And I loved her runway look, her makeup and outfit were on point. Although her runway walk is going to be her downfall. Everything else about her is really fierce. Another fear I have is that she’s going to be a quiet queen and I don’t want that. She needs her fierceness to shine through.

Laila McQueen
She reminds me of someone in real life and I don’t mean that in a bad way. I like her. She doesn’t seem to have as much energy as the other queens which bothers me. She seems to be one that lacks a big personality which is the downfall of many queens on the show. I hope she can come out of her shell. I was also living for her RuPocalypse look.

Naomi Smalls
All I could think when she walked into the room was Glamazon. She is gorgeous. I don’t remember much else about her though. I do think her boat and runway look were lacking though. I mean she went very minimal with it and I wish she had done something like Willam had. Especially because she decided to step out of the boat. Her outfit could have been better for it even if she didn’t have time to properly decorate the boat.

Nayasha Lopez
She kind or reminded me of Vivienne Pinay. As in she was very quiet and didn’t stand out to me. I don’t remember her at all. I just know she sashayed away. And from previous experience, the first queen to sashay away isn’t really worth knowing at all…So sorry girl. We’ll see you at the reunion though.

Robbie Turner
Did someone ask for Jinkx Monsoon 2.0? I think so. It was so awkward when she turned up at the photoshoot with the same hair as Jinkx. I mean right off the bat you can see what kind of vibe she was going for. I hope she has more to offer rather than just being another Jinkx. Especially because she’s not going to win if she’s a copy of one of the previous winners.

Thorgy Thor
Again, she reminds me of someone I know. Not in a bad way. She’s very full of energy, quirky and fun. I like her. I’m excited to see where she goes in the competition. I don’t really remember her runway look though so I can’t make a comment on that. Still, she’s fun although I wonder if she has a mean streak…most queens do.

And so that brings me to the end of my critique on the season 8 Queens! I have to say we have a good mix of queens this season.
Whereas with season 7 I kind of felt like a lot of the queens were similar. So I am excited to see what comes of this competition.
I don’t have a particular favourite for winner yet. Although I do like a fair few of the queens. I imagine I’ll be making predictions for the season after a few more episodes. I’ll keep you posted.
In the mean time I think I’m going to go back and rewatch previous seasons of Drag Race and celebrate the past queens because seeing them all in the season 8 premiere made me miss them. I would love for there to be a show with all the past winners on it. I mean having them all in one place at one time is just fabulousness overload. So RuPaul, can you make it happen?

Let me know what you guys think of this season of queens and who is your favourite. And follow me on Twitter for when I live tweet Drag Race on Tuesdays.

My Amazing Race Season 28 First Impressions

The Amazing Race season 28. The social media themed season, where all teams are made up of Internet stars. It’s safe to say I was really excited.
I actually started to watch the Amazing Race because YouTubers Joey Graceffa and Meghan Camerena competed in season 22 and then later in season 24. It was the first time I had ever watched the show and I really liked it. Which I was surprised about because I don’t usually watch this type of show but I find that if you find one team per season that you really like you can really get into it.
And as soon as I found out that Tyler Oakley was going to be on this season of the Amazing Race I had already decided which team was going to be my favourite. Tyler Oakley is one of my favourite YouTubers. And so of course I am rooting for him 100%.
There is another YouTuber that I watch competing on this season too, Blair Fowler. She’s a beauty guru that I like to watch and I also watch her sister Elle’s videos too. I am rooting for her to go far in the race too however I am supporting Tyler a tiny bit more.
Aside from those two YouTubers and their partners, I don’t recognise anyone else on this season of the Amazing Race. Oh – apart from Joslyn from Clevver TV. I used to watch Clevver TV’s videos. But everyone else was completely new to me. I know it is a social media themed season so all these people are known on social media platforms but definitely not ones that I use. Like Vine stars are completely lost on me.
Anyway, I want to talk about each team individually to let you guys know how I feel about this season of the Amazing Race so far. As of now we are 3 episodes into the season and so I have gotten to learn a little bit more about each team.

Erin White Robinson and Joslyn Davis
Like I said before, I recognise Joslyn from Clevver TV on YouTube. Her voice is very memorable.
Anyway I like Erin and Joslyn. So far I don’t have a lot to say about them. All I really remember is that Erin got really claustrophobic in the last episode which can be a problem. Especially if there are any more challenges that require them to be in small spaces.
I also think it was great how they work together with Blair and Scott. Although I can see them throwing them under the bus if they need to which could cause drama.

Darius and Cameron Benson
Vine stars. Never heard of them but they seem like cool guys. They seem to lack the competitiveness and drive that the other teams do though which has been shown on a few occasions. Which I guess ultimately lead to their elimination.
I mean I don’t doubt that they are smart guys but if you aren’t in it to win it as much as the other teams you will get lost in the dust.

Zach and Rachel King
More vine stars haha. Honestly, I don’t really think they stand out in the competition for me yet. I don’t know enough about them to really make a judgement. I think they came first in the first episode but I honestly don’t remember.

Dana Borriello and Matt Steffanina
Dancers. Recently engaged.
I always worry for couples on this TV show because sometimes I think it could make or break them. And with these two…it seems like it could break them.
They are both very strong-headed when it comes to competition and they have been fighting a lot.
I wasn’t expecting that because if they have a business together you’d think they’d work a lot better together but I guess we see as the race goes on.
I know sometimes couples fight on the race and it only makes them stronger. So let’s hope it’s the case with these two.

Marty Cobb and Hagan Parkman
I thought they were cute. Although one mistake caused them to be eliminated early on in the race.
One thing I will say about that is, after watching this show for a long time I know never to leave your taxi anywhere/make sure the taxi is going to stay there while you do the challenge. Because taxis are usually your downfall on the race.
Also they got really annoying towards the end when they just sort of gave up. So…yeah I don’t have much else to say about them.

Kurt Gibson and Brodie Smith
Pro frisbee players? Well Okay.
These guys always seem to come middle of the pack and so to me they aren’t very memorable. I don’t know, that or they just don’t have as big a personality as other people on the show.
It’s so easy to fade into the background on this show because there are so many teams and they get eliminated easily. Hopefully these guys make a good impression by the end of the race.
Tyler Oakley and Korey Kuhl
I could write a novel on why I love these two so much. But I won’t. All you need to know is that I’m biased towards them because of watching them on YouTube and listening to their Podcast.

Anyway, what really surprised me about them is that they are really good at these challenges. I mean I know they are really good friends and have worked together since graduating but I had no idea how good a team they were until now.
They are just so efficient and take no crap haha. I’m sure they will have their bumps on the road as they continue on the race but so far they seem to be plain sailing. And yes, they are the team I want to win. Just saying.

Jessica Versteeg and Brittany Oldehoff
Instagram models. Because that’s a thing now.
I like them. They only really stand out because they are pretty. Like that’s all I can say about them so far. They are pretty.
Again they are in the middle of the pack right now in the race so who knows how well they will actually do. Although being in the middle of the race is not neccessarily a bad thing, it could be the reason you end up in the final four.

Burnie Jones and Ashley Jenkins
YouTube gamers. And a super cute couple.
These two work well together too. I remember how they were in the last episode and they seem to have a really good relationship.
I can see them going far in the race.

Scott and Blair Fowler
Like I said before I watch Blair’s videos and so I am biased towards her in this race as well. So I do hope she makes it far in the race.
Although part of me wishes that Blair was doing the race with her sister Elle because they both make videos, however I’m pretty sure Elle couldn’t do the race because of when she injured her back.
Still I like this father daughter team. I think it’s sweet that they help people when they can and I just hope that doesn’t come back to bite them if someone decides to take advantage of that.
Also I’m pretty sure that if you were to remember anything about this season it’s Blair’s voice. She definitely has one of those voices that’s very memorable.

Sheri and Cole LaBrant
Another vine star.
I think this mother and son team is also very cute. I also like that other teams are nice and help them out when they can although I know it won’t last. As the competition gets smaller and smaller people will be less likely to help out teams like Sheri and Cole and so I wonder how they will do without any help later in the race.

And so those are my first impressions of all the Amazing Race teams on season 28! So far it’s been a very entertaining season with all of my favourite one liners coming from Tyler and Korey.
If you guys are watching the Amazing Race this season then let me know your predictions, who do you think will win? As I’ve been saying the whole way through this blog post I hope Tyler and Korey win. And if not them then someone else who deserves to win. I mean it doesn’t really matter. I always end up feeling like the people who win the race were the ones that deserved to win, even if I wasn’t really rooting for them to begin with.
I will be sure to let you guys know my thoughts as the season progresses. I don’t know if I will make another blog post like this but I always tweet about the episodes when I watch them. So if you are interested in knowing my thoughts on the race or any other TV show I am currently watching then feel free to follow me on Twitter. Or don’t. I tend to tweet a lot haha.

Fangirl Overload – Pretty Little Liars Season 6B

This show.
I swear.
If you guys have been following me on social media for a while then you know all about how Pretty Little Liars makes me feel. And now that we are into the second half of season six things have never been so intense.
We are only three episodes into season 6B and yet I’m already freaking out hysterically. I have so many questions and thoughts about how this season has been going. The five-year time jump has really changed the game and it’s hard to believe that just a few months ago we found out the identity of A.
So much has changed and yet it still has that PLL flair that makes you want to come back for more. I love it, so much so that I have already made two videos talking about the second half of season six already. If you want to know all my thoughts on Pretty Little Liars right now check them out below:

And if you want to know my thoughts on future episodes then follow me on Twitter. I always tweet when I’m watching the show because I always have so many thoughts to share.
I’ll be so sad when the show ends because I don’t know if I’ll ever find a show to replace it. But I don’t have to worry about that for a while. I just have to think about making it through the rest of the series without freaking out too much. Although I don’t think that’s possible. It is Pretty Little Liars after all.

90210!

Today we are talking all things 90210.
If you guys follow me on Twitter then you know that over this past week I have been binge-watching 90210 on Netflix. And oh boy do I have a lot of thoughts on this show. As usual, my main instinct when watching a TV show is to tweet every thought about the show. While I did a lot of tweeting about the show I still have a lot of thoughts that I need to get out about it. So here are my final thoughts on 90210.
I have decided to talk about each season individually. That way, I can hopefully cover everything I need to say. And then I can move on to another TV show, and you know how the cycle goes. Watch a TV show, fall in love, binge-watch it, obsess about it and then start a new TV show, and so on and so forth. Anyway, moving right along.

Season One
A new TV show. New characters. New setting. This show definitely took me a few episodes to get into not going to lie. It wasn’t until Adrianna overdosed that I got really interested. It doesn’t always take that long to get into a show but for this one I was pretty close to giving up. I’m really glad I stuck with it though because this is definitely my type of show.
Naomi Clark

My first impressions of all the characters were pretty minimal and I had no idea what these characters were capable of. When I first met Naomi I thought she would be a Serena van der Woodsen type character. An It Girl. But it seems that’s not a thing in Beverly Hills. There’s just a group of kids that are deemed popular. But there’s no real Queen Bee. I wasn’t expecting that.

Not going to lie I did compare this show with Gossip Girl for a while at the beginning but only because I thought it would be the same. Turns out Beverly Hills and New York do things completely different. And I couldn’t be happier.
To be honest for me, season one was just a mix-match of different storylines. None of which I thought were explored enough. I mean that whole thing with Naomi and Annie’s half-brother could have been a lot better. It just seemed to end abruptly and then was never really brought up again.
This seems to be a theme on the show. Big things happen and then they are just never talked about again. Like the drug raid at the school with the undercover cop, the whole ordeal with Naomi’s dad and also Kelly’s feelings for her ex…all these things kind of just disappeared and people forgot about them…However when you binge-watch a show it’s hard not to forget.
While the show had its rocky start there were two storylines I really enjoyed in season one. Adrianna’s and Silver’s. Adrianna went through so much in season one with the drugs, pregnancy and romance with Navid. Her storyline was the one that kept me watching the show after I was ready to give up. And Silver’s story may have taken a while to develop but her whirlwind love with Dixon was insane. But it definitely kept me interested and it wasn’t long before the show became binge-watch worthy to me.

Adrianna and Silver

Season Two
Coming into season two I had problems with the show. I did read they changed the direction of the show after the first season. Mainly because the show was originally paying tribute to the show Beverly Hills 90210 which aired years before. After season one, they changed the show up because of ratings. I didn’t mind that they changed the direction the show was going in but I did have an issue with some of the things they changed.
Ethan Ward

A major problem I had was the disappearance of Ethan. I read the show just never asked the character
to return after the first season. Which really sucked because he was a main character in season one. And to have him disappear was just wrong. Especially when he had unfinished business with Silver. Although with the addition of Teddy and Liam to the show I didn’t miss Ethan that much. I just wished he had a better reason for leaving other than he just decided to stay in Montana with his dad.

Also with the disappearance of Ethan, the lacrosse team also disappeared. Not that I minded that lacrosse was replaced with surfing. Because I couldn’t imagine Liam and Teddy playing lacrosse.
The other thing I really missed in season two was the Peach Pit. I liked that hangout spot and was not that fond of the beach club. I also thought it was interesting how Dixon stopped working at the Peach Pit and it was never mentioned again. It’s the little things.
Season two was one of the most dramatic seasons for me. What with Annie killing the homeless guy and then dealing with Jasper. I was not expecting that at all. I also don’t think people seemed to make a big deal about Annie killing that guy. I mean she served house arrest and had her punishment but I mean…it was a huge deal. Yet she seemed to be able to move on with her life with virtually no problems. Although it’s a TV show so maybe I shouldn’t be taking it so seriously.

Another story I thought would have been interesting if it was expanded on was Adrianna’s relationship with Gia. Can we please talk about how Ade explored her sexuality in this season? I wanted more on that. I really loved the way the show went with it but then it just seemed to stop and Adrianna went back to Navid.

Jen Clark

Season two also saw the introduction to Jen, Naomi’s sister. She was crazy and I didn’t like her very much. She was one of the most annoying characters on the show. If she was in Gossip Girl she would be Georgina Sparks. But Georgina was more likeable.

The only other thing I wondered about in season two was Dixon’s mum. She kind of showed up for one season and then never appeared again. And after that, it seemed Dixon tried to stop trying to find a connection to his family. This only bothered me because I thought Dixon wanted to keep his real mum in his life. So I thought we’d see more of her. I also thought it was weird how Dixon’s gambling addiction magically disappeared. Although I suppose he got scared out of it after he got in trouble for breaking into the school. Still…he seemed to get over it pretty fast. There was also that whole thing between Dixon and Sasha which I just thought was crazy. I didn’t like it at all and I am so glad Dixon was able to get over that.

Dixon and his birth mother
Season Three
This season had me feeling for almost every character. Starting with Naomi. When she got raped by Mr Cannon at the end of season two I freaked out. I needed to know that she was going to get her justice. I had such strong feelings about the whole thing. I wanted Naomi to tell people and get help and I wanted to see Mr Cannon taken down. It took a while but Naomi was able to get the justice she deserved. It was definitely a storyline that kept me on the edge of my seat.
Then there was the whole Adrianna ordeal. Her career was one thing but then the way she went after Silver and Navid was too much. I didn’t know if I could forgive Adrianna after she replaced Silver’s medication with a placebo. It was crazy. Although given everything Adrianna has been through on the show I suppose she can get away with doing crazy things like that. After all, she did steal that dead guy’s song book and use the songs as her own…
Two storylines in season three I needed more information on were Liam’s and Oscar’s.
Charlie (Liam’s half-brother) and Liam

Liam and his half-brother needed more time together. I can’t help but wonder what would have happened if Liam’s half-brother had stayed around a little longer. Other than the fact that it would have been a bit awkward because of the love triangle that they had with Annie.

As for the whole Oscar thing…I thought there would have been way more explanation on what Ivy’s mum did to his family. Mainly because Oscar went through a lot to get his revenge. Sleeping with Ivy and her mother was just a bit weird. And then Oscar just left. And people never thought about him after that.
Ivy, however, went through a lot this season. With her relationship with Dixon, sleeping with Oscar, fighting with her mum, getting addicted to weed and meeting Raj. Girl had a lot going on. I just wish people paid more attention to her. Maybe then the whole weed thing wouldn’t have happened.
Teddy Montgomery

On top of all of this, we also had Teddy dealing with his sexuality. Naturally all I wanted was for
Teddy to come out. I have watched several TV shows where a gay character has been trying to keep his sexuality a secret and it is always so great when they finally tell everyone. And Teddy’s story was no exception.

I really enjoyed the guys’ attempt at showing Teddy they were comfortable with his sexuality by taking him to a gay bar. It made me appreciate Liam and Teddy’s friendship a lot more because they are real bros. I also loved how supportive Silver was and how she and Teddy were best friends.
And the last couple of things to talk about in season three are Annie’s cousin who was insane and Annie and Dixon’s mum dating Ryan.
The Wilsons

I hated Annie’s cousin. Especially because she was isolating Annie from her friends. And I couldn’t handle that after how Annie was isolated in season two. And I was never really sure of why her cousin was doing all of it? There didn’t seem to be a point. At least to me the reasons behind it didn’t seem strong enough to justify what went down. Which is something I could say about quite a few things that happened on the show.

And then there was the divorce of Annie and Dixon’s parents. This saw the disappearance of their father completely from the show. Which bothered me because I’m sure their father would have had a lot to say about Dixon’s drug addiction and Annie’s book from season five. As for their mother, she gets a job working for Jen and somehow ends up dating Ryan. I never saw that as a good couple pairing but that apparently works. And to top that off Ryan was the father of Jen’s child. As if Naomi and Annie’s families couldn’t get more twisted.
Season Four
Time for college! Although it seems no one in Beverly Hills actually gets a degree. They seem to take up and drop classes at college as if that’s normal. I’m not sure how college works in America but I’m pretty sure that’s not okay. It doesn’t look well to employers anyway.
Not that these characters have problems with getting their own jobs. What with Naomi starting her event planning business, Adrianna’s singing career, Dixon’s music career, Navid’s production career and Liam buying a bar. Not to mention everyone seems to just have money. Either their families are wealthy or they inherit it or something. Oh to be on a TV show. Seems like a great life.
This season didn’t seem to have as much drama going on as last season. I guess things seemed to be a lot less dramatic after high school. All I remember about this season is Naomi getting arrested a lot, Liam proposing to Annie twice and Annie becoming an escort.
I suppose these are things we never thought would happen. First of all, Naomi went head to head against sorority leader Holly. That I enjoyed. I love a good girl fight. I never really figured out what happened with Naomi and the sorority she joined. Did she quit? Did she drop out of CU? Because after she stopped fighting with Holly and focused on her event planning business the whole sorority talk just seemed to stop.
Austin and Naomi

There was also that whole thing with Austin and Naomi. And I guess the whole Austin thing in general. Austin just seemed to be one of those random characters that appeared on the show for only a season. But I wish he had stayed a lot longer he was nice. And he only ever had good intentions. Even if it seemed like he didn’t.

Next, Liam proposing to Annie. Damn. I would

Vanessa and Liam

have said yes. I mean how to reject someone like Liam? He’s too perfect. Well, he had his faults, but who doesn’t on this show? One thing I will say though is he was crazy to trust Vanessa who hit him with her car.

Although it was Vanessa that made Liam into a great actor she was shady. I never trusted her and I really didn’t like her. Even though I love Arielle Kebbel. She’s a great actress. And I think she might have had the biggest guest star role. Next to Jen.
Then there was Annie and her fight for her inheritance money. Okay, so it surprised me how fast Annie turned into a money-hungry bitch. I mean I know she deserved the inheritance money but she just came off as a spoilt brat during that whole ordeal. It bothered me that she didn’t try to earn money by getting a job. I know that wouldn’t have earned her enough money to pay for Dixon’s rehab but it would have been a start.
The whole escort thing was a shock. It surprised me that Annie was able to keep it a secret for so long. I was sure it was going to come out quickly considering how fast most things get out on this show. But she was able to keep it under wraps for a long time.
Oh and then Annie randomly dating a priest? Yeah, let’s not forget that was once a thing…
Adrianna and Dixon

Side note, Dixon’s drug addiction. Wow. Wasn’t expecting that. Again surprised no one noticed sooner. But I am so glad that Adrianna was there for him. As for Dixon and Adrianna’s relationship? I was not a fan. It seems like Dixon forgot how to be romantic when it came to dating Ade. Which was such a shame because Dixon was one of the most romantic guys on the show.

He just became obsessed with his music career. Which was a slippery slope.
Meanwhile, Silver is worrying about her future as she may or may not have a cancer gene. Scary. It’s also crazy how she turned to Liam to deal with the whole thing. I was not expecting that. Although Teddy was off to DC with his boyfriend so I guess she needed someone else to talk to. And she was on the outs with Navid. So many complicated relationships.
This season also was the last time that we saw Ivy. Who really needed more attention. I mean her husband died of cancer and then she got involved with a guy who was in the country illegally. Ivy definitely doesn’t have a lot of luck with boys. I kind of wish she had stayed around. But she decided to go to Mexico to be with her boyfriend. She just seemed to disappear without mentioning it to anyone. Naomi mentioned it once in season five and it seemed people didn’t seem to miss her much.
Season Five
The finale. Honestly with the way this season was going it didn’t feel like the last season. There was something about the end that suggests the show wasn’t ready to end and that they unexpectedly got cancelled. But I’ll talk more about that later.
First of all, Dixon didn’t die. Hallelujah. This show likes to put its characters in car accidents. Dixon’s was the third of the series. And while he didn’t die he did have a disability he had to work through. This caused problems with his relationship with Adrianna. Mostly because of his music career.
Riley

Due to Dixon’s disability we got introduced to Riley. He was pretty cool. I got excited to see Riley Smith on the show because I’ve been watching him on Nashville. I was so sad when his character died. I thought he and Annie had a real shot together.

Speaking of Annie, she became the Dan Humphrey of Beverly Hills by writing a tell-all book about her days as an escort and her romance with Liam. From watching Gossip Girl and seeing how everyone reacted to Dan’s book, I could tell this wasn’t going to go well for Annie. I wasn’t sure how to feel about Annie’s book. To me, it seemed so random. Like, I still don’t think I’ll get over how fast Annie gave up on acting. I thought she would have kept up the acting thing. I guess she didn’t want to be an actress that badly.
Also Patrick’s attempt at getting revenge on Annie was pretty lame. I was expecting some huge blow-up but planting drugs on her half brother just seemed lackluster. Just saying.
The other characters on the show seemed to go through a lot more than Annie did this season. For example Liam. Liam just seemed to fall into a bunch of random careers. I feel like he was the most successful out of everyone. I mean he owned a bar, became an actor, started running a club briefly and then started a surfboard shop. I don’t know how he did it. I mean the surfboard thing might not have worked out, neither did the acting thing but he still worked hard and had pretty good results.
I mean there was the whole thing with Vanessa and the police officer who kidnapped him but he got out of that. Thankfully.
Max and Naomi

Meanwhile, Naomi was getting married to Max and then getting divorced from Max. I really hoped
their relationship would have lasted. They were cute together. Sadly it wasn’t happening for them. And then Naomi tried to get her event planning career off the ground again. It never really worked out for her. She’d plan one good event and then something bad would happen so she would just stop her business. I don’t know if she ever established it as a proper company but she did end up with a new boyfriend at the end.

Then Naomi decided to bring her and Annie’s real half-brother into the picture which I thought was so random. We went through three seasons without it being brought up and then this guy just showed up. Again, he was just one of those random characters to only appear for one season. As always I was sad he didn’t stay longer but he did get a happy ending which was good.
As for Navid, he got caught up in a secret society thing? I wasn’t paying enough attention to the scene where Navid talked about the club. So I’m not sure how it came about. I just sort of went with it. Mainly because Grant Gustin is great. I also can’t believe Navid dropped out of Princeton after two months to come back to Beverly Hills. It was pretty pointless of him to leave.
Moving on to someone who couldn’t seem to catch a break this season…Silver. I had no idea how big a deal it would be for her to have a baby. Plus I thought it was heartbreaking that Teddy didn’t want her to carry the baby. That just made things even more complicated. Even though it was already pretty complicated since she decided to have a baby with her gay best friend.
Michaela, Silver’s surrogate

Silver got obsessive over the whole surrogate mother thing and I had a bad feeling that she was going to lose the baby. Not that I could see Silver being a mother anyway. I know she really wanted to have a baby but I thought that her thinking she was ready to have a baby and actually having one would be very different for her. So I guess I am glad the baby thing didn’t work out.

I’m just heartbroken that the writers decided to actually give Silver cancer. I mean no. I don’t accept that. Especially since we don’t even find out if she beats it or not. At least, she has Dixon to help her through it.
And then there was Adrianna. It always seems like no matter what she does everyone assumes the worst. Which I can understand given her history on the show. But it was still sad when everyone was assuming the worst of her when she only had good intentions.
Navid and Adrianna

Next thing you know Ade is trapped on stage after a collapse at the theatre. Which seemed very
random but I guess had something to do with the bag that Campbell gave to Liam which he left backstage. I’m just glad she was okay. And I didn’t even mind that Adrianna and Navid came full circle ad got back together.

I always thought they were good together.
And so it seemed everyone got their happy ending.I have to admit the last episode had me very emotional. I needed to know Ade and Navid would be okay. I needed to know that Liam and Annie would get together…I wanted Silver to be cancer free.
It was good to see that everyone got their happy ending but like I said, it seemed like that wasn’t the ending of the show. I think they wanted to have another season but the show got cancelled after season five. Which is a shame. I want to know if Naomi stayed with that guy, I want to see Silver fight cancer, I want to know if Dixon got his music career…I guess these are things I’ll just never know.

And so those were all my thoughts on 90210! It’s been a long journey but I am so glad we are at the end. Overall I really did enjoy this show and while yes it did have some flaws it was a great way to kickstart my Netflix subscription.
I’m not really sure what TV show I will be watching next but I think it’s good if I take a break before starting a new show. Maybe try to fix my sleeping pattern and start being productive again. It always takes me a while to find another show I really like. But y’all will be the first to know when I find that new show.
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed reading my thoughts on 90210. Let me know what you guys thought about the show in the comments below. Maybe you can relate to some of the things I was feeling. Also leave comments for good TV show suggestions, and maybe I’ll check them out. 🙂

Game Over, Charles – My Pretty Little Liars Summer Finale Reaction

Um…what?

So…last night I watched the episode and I filmed my reaction immediately, like didn’t even really check on social media didn’t really have time to let things sink in and I was kind of just…in a daze. Trying to process everything that happened. If you guys wanna check out the raw reaction to the episode check out the video below:

It is now the next day and I have had time to process everything, watch the episode again and go on social media to get the general thoughts on the episode.
Here’s the deal, PLL fans are not happy. And I can agree with a lot of them, I can see why people are angry, I have seen the lengths people have went to make their own theories and I can see how they’d be disappointed with the real thing.
I have to say I’m only like half disappointed with the episode. I mean I was definitely shocked when A turned around and it turned out to be CeCe. I was not expecting that. I was so sure A was a guy that I just…kind of shut down the idea that he could be a girl.
In fact, to me the whole transgender thing was a surprise. I didn’t think Pretty Little Liars would take that route. Mainly just because I didn’t see that being the style of the show, I’m fine with the way they went with the story but I just wasn’t expecting it. I saw a lot of theories about Charles being transgender, but a lot of people thought that Charles was originally a girl wanting to be a boy and not the other way around.
One thing I am definitely not okay with was Sara being Red Coat/Black Widow. And I know I’m not the only one. I said in my last blog post I didn’t want Sara to be Red Coat. She was only introduced this season and there is literally no motive behind why Sara was doing this or why CeCe chose her at all. I just…I don’t get it. Why Sara. She’s so…annoying. I really don’t like her so the fact this happened was just not okay with me.
But can we please talk about when Emily punched Sara? Because that was one of my favourite things about this episode haha.
I am also not sure why everyone is okay with what CeCe did to them. Like, she almost killed them and tortured them for years and yet they seem to be pretty willing to let it go. I’m sorry, but I wouldn’t be. I can understand why Alison would, but I don’t with the other girls. CeCe may have said she loved all of them, but I just don’t see how she did.
One thing we were promised is that we would feel sorry for A. And I sort of do feel sorry for CeCe but at the same time that doesn’t make what she did okay.
I also don’t understand the whole Mona and CeCe in Radley thing. I mean I understand CeCe agreed to play the game with Mona so that she could get out of Radley but why did she love hearing so much about the girls.
Did she really only punish the girls because they seemed happy Alison was gone?
And what are the odds of Bethany picking that yellow outfit to wear to escape Radley on the same night Alison was wearing it?
Because Bethany ends up stealing CeCe’s clothes and going after Mrs D for having an affair with her dad and so CeCe follows her and hits her with a rock. But that turns out to be Alison…so CeCe hit Alison.
Which leads us to…Mona killing Bethany. Um…what? I’m sorry, but there were just so many people in that general area that night Alison disappeared. I mean seriously can we just get a full episode with everything they said happened that one night. I need to know how everything played out. From the barn to Alison going to the kissing rock to Bethany getting murdered and Alison being buried alive. What really happened?
One thing I have to applaud Pretty Little Liars for is that they did give us a lot of answers. I know they may not have been the answers everyone wanted, but they definitely gave us more in that one episode than they ever did in the rest of this season. So yay for them finally following through on something haha.
Now moving onto the flash forward of five years…
Alison writing on a chalkboard…she is Mrs something…so is she married? If she is, every Emison shipper is gonna be heartbroken and we all know it. I kind of thought she just changed her name for safety reasons because at first I didn’t notice she wrote Mrs. Also she’s a teacher! Did we expect that to be Alison’s profession?
Also, he is coming for Alison so…you know someone new is after them. What else is new? Haha.
I’m excited about the time jump mainly because they are no longer going to be in high school. Which is good because they can’t pass for high school students for much longer, well maybe Sasha Pieterse can but that’s because she’s 19.
And of course, there are things that this episode never really answered…like who killed Mrs DiLaurentis, or if the mums ever made it out of the basement…these are things we all need to know. Hopefully, we find out in the upcoming episodes…
As for who I originally thought was A…well, I was kind of jumping on the Wren train with a lot of people but as we got clues revealed to us last night I made a spider diagram and CeCe’s name was on there!

I also made notes during the episode so I remembered what to talk about haha…it’s a little bit of a mess…
