Recently Watched Netflix Shows 2024/2025

It’s been a while since I made one of these posts! But I realised that I have watched quite a few one-season Netflix shows recently so thought I would share my thoughts on them. They are in order of watched most recent so I might have recency bias but I have enjoyed all of these a lot.

Running Point

An easy one to start with, I literally finished this a few days ago. I wasn’t sure what to think initially when I decided to watch this, but now I have watched it and I agree with what everyone online has been saying, that this is kind of like Ted Lasso for basketball.

Isla Gordon is put in the spotlight as she takes over her family’s basketball team, the LA Waves. The show is filled with dysfunctional family drama while Isla tries to girl boss her way to the playoffs. Thankfully, you don’t need to know anything about basketball to watch this show. I had no idea what was going on with that bit, lol, but I still really enjoyed this.

I enjoyed the reappearance of Brenda Song in my life, better known as London Tipton from the Suite Life of Zack and Cody. It was a nice surprise. I also enjoy the dysfunctional family dynamics of the Gordon family including a secret half brother no-one knew about until now. I am looking forward to seeing where it goes, but also sad I have to wait for another season. At least there will be another season, I know Netflix can be flaky with this kind of thing so we shall ride the wave as long as they allow us. Omg that was totally an unintentional pun lol.

Emily in Paris Season 4 Thoughts

Another wild season of Emily in Paris is over and I wanted to share my thoughts. Even though I do enough of that on Serializd – which btw I use a lot so follow me there because I obsessively log every episode of TV I watch there lol.

So yeah anyway I guess my main thing this season was that I was refusing to ship Gabriel and Emily because, let’s be real, if they were going to be together I feel like it would’ve been done already? Besides, did they really think it was going to work when Cami was pregnant with Gabriel’s baby? Wild.

I will say though two scenes which were really strong for Gabriel and Emily were when Grabriel was yelling at Emily in French because she didn’t understand and the scene where Emily leaves Gabriel the voicemail in French. The latter scene really had me shipping them even though I don’t want to be lol. Like I want them to leave it alone, but the drama side of me NEEDS Gabriel showing up in Italy you know?

So we’ll see what happens, but realistically, Emily is not going to last long in Italy with the Italian guy. I mean we seen how fast Alfie got booted out of the picture, so we’ll see how long this guy lasts.

I will admit to being sad about Alfie because I really liked him and I thought he and Emily were going to give it another go but then he immediately moved on and got a new girlfriend and then we basically never saw him again. So yeah, I guess he’s out of the running in terms of love interests.

Another thing I am sad about is how fast the Mindy going to Eurovision thing was dropped. Like, half the season she was working to get money to go to Eurovision and then immediately in the second half of the season she’s like “oh yeah that’s not happening we got disqualified”. Very sad. I mean logistically it probably works out if the show doesn’t have to fake Eurovision but considering Netflix has already done a whole-ass Eurovision movie, they could’ve done it for Emily in Paris. At least Mindy is going to be able to redeem herself on Chinese popstar or whatever the show was, I guess that’s something?

Probably the most surprising this season was that Cami discovered she wasn’t pregnant – okay that bit is not the shocking part lol. It is after that, she decided she actually does want a baby and has decided to adopt one. Not sure if this means we won’t see her again although something about that one scene gave the idea she might never be seen again. Just because this seems like the kind of show to pick up and drop characters easily. That being said, I’ll miss Cami if she never comes back. She was fun, even if she caused drama for no reason between Gabriel and Emily.

Something else which was wild and I kind of found unnecessary was the addition of Genevieve, Sylvie’s step-daughter. I mean she drove a wedge between Gabriel and Emily, sure but like I just don’t think we need her. She’s annoying, and while I usually love someone coming in to try to steal someone’s life, who would want Emily’s lol I mean, okay, I want Emily’s life but at the same time, I don’t think Gen is really the evil villain to try to do it. I imagine she’ll be dropped early next season considering she hasn’t done a very good job at overtaking Emily’s life or even steal Gabriel away for that matter. She was just around for no reason lol.

I am however interested to see what will happen with Sylvie and her marriage and the Italian boyfriend she’s got going on lol. I always found her relationship interesting and it’s only going to become messier with her mother involved in her husband’s club and her husband still stepping out, but also her cheating…like it’s bound to implode. So I’m ready for that.

Overall, it’s been a fun season. Not all episodes were winners but I found myself entertained every step of the way and I do enjoy a silly TV show to take a break from all the serious drama that gets released. I need more shows like this. So if you have any suggestions, let me know. But in the meantime, I will be rewatching Gilmore Girls and other shows because I’m just not ready to bring anything new into my life at this time. Can’t wait for the next season of Emily in Paris – or should I say Emily in Rome – where I will have absolutely forgotten every plot point from this and previous seasons by the time it airs.

Recently Watched TV Shows 2023

It’s been a long time since I’ve blogged about anything but I am back to share some of the TV shows that I’ve been watching recently. Since the writer’s strike had been going on and a lot of TV shows had been put on hold, I thought it was a good time to catch up on some new stuff that’s been released.

Below Deck Franchise

Okay so, I’ve actually been binge-watching Below Deck since April this year but it deserves a mention here because I am so obsessed haha.

My boyfriend and I started watching Below Deck: Sailing Yacht on a whim on Netflix and have become hooked ever since. I just never knew about all the drama that could come about from working on a superyacht and it’s so GOOD.

The funny thing about the binge-watching though is that we haven’t actually watched the original Below Deck, we just watch all the spin-offs lol. I mean it really started with the Adam/Jenna drama of Sailing Yacht and me doing a deep-dive and finding out that Adam had been on Below Deck: Med. From that, I found out about Hannah being fired due to her valium and I was like “Oh well we need to see how that happens”.

So since April, we’ve seen seasons 2-5 of Below Deck: Med, all seasons of Below Deck: Sailing Yacht and Below Deck: Down Under. We did try to watch season one of Below Deck: Med but the captain was not our fave, so we gave it a miss.

The latest season I’ve been watching has been Below Deck: Down Under and it was wild. Between the employees being fired due to sexual misconduct and Joao making a surprise reappearance in the series it’s been a journey. Sad it’s over but we still have two seasons of Med and also the adventure spin-off to watch, not to mention a new season of Med coming basically this week lol. So I’ll never have a shortage of Below Deck in my life.

Cruel Summer Season 2

I was unsure about going into season 2 of this show considering they were going to be changing up the cast and it was going to be a different storyline. The first season is so strong that I think that whatever came out next was going to be a bit of a letdown.

And I was right, season 2 did not hold the same appeal to me as season 1. I think I just really liked the storyline of season 1 more, I mean an unpopular girl steals the life of the popular girl after she disappeared? More interesting to me than a mysterious girl moving to a new town and the boy-next-door ending up dead. I mean written like that they both sound good. I think it was just how everything played out for season 2 was less satisfying. Season 1 really gave me everything with all the reveals and stuff.

I have to say I do like the format of this show though, I think it’s interesting. That being said, I don’t hate how drastically different the filters are for the show. I mean it makes sense, to tell the timelines apart but at the same time, it’s so extreme. Plus the main character’s appearance always completely changes too and I don’t love it. Give me a more subtle, 13-reasons-why-Clay-giant-gash-in-his-dead vibe than a complete emo makeover please haha.

I mean, in season 1 it made sense for Jeanette to cut her hair off after Kate came back to try to prove she wasn’t actually trying to steal her life etc. but with Megan in season 2 her look is just ugly and the slicked back hair and eyebrow ring really bothered me…

But anyway, I’m hoping there are more seasons because it would be interesting to see more things done in this format.

XO, Kitty

I was hesitant to start this, only because Kitty is so annoying in To All The Boys, I didn’t know if I could handle a whole show where she is the centre of attention. And Kitty was still being annoying in this series lol though to be fair less annoying as the episodes went on, but I suppose that’s just a reflection of her growing up.

I didn’t know what to make of the show on the first episode because I think they played too heavily on KPop for me. I’m glad it was only the first episode because I could not get into a show which is trying to have serious moments and then they blast BTS just because. That being said, I loved that they used Seventeen in the pilot because they’re one of my fave bands.

I also don’t know what audience this show is even meant to be for because they have these cute tween moments with Kitty and Dae etc and then also have some serious topics going on like Kitty’s mom possibly having another child and everything. Plus the aesthetic and the characters also lean on the younger side. I’m not saying older people can’t enjoy it too, it’s just not clear who the target demographic is actually meant to be.

Aside from that, I did end up enjoying this show and the characters grew on me. I am looking forward to more of it and seeing where it goes. Also, I know it’s not about them, but I wouldn’t hate if Lara Jean and Peter made an appearance…also love that Kitty’s Dad is too busy playing Aiden in the Sex and the City reboot to care that his daughter was caught up in a big under age drinking club night in Korea but that’s a whole other thing lol.

The Summer I Turned Pretty

First off, I appreciate any show where Taylor Swift music is featured prominently. I think it fits the series super well.

I wasn’t sure if I was going to like this or not based on the cliche that it is. I mean come on, a girl who wasn’t pretty has a glow-up and finally gets the attention of the boy she has wanted to date since forever? Not my fave trope. Also didn’t know season 2 of this came out this year so I binge-watched both seasons in one go.

I liked the first season, it was cute. But I think I could have left it at that because season two was not my fave. I mean first of all it got so dark so quickly lol I literally watched the finale of season one and then BAM season two had Belly and Conrad breaking up and Suzanne dying? Yikes. I hadn’t read the books so had no idea where we were going with this.

I personally would have liked if Belly had chosen Jeremiah all along. I hated how in season two, she just flipped and went to be with Jeremiah after the Conrad fallout. Mainly because she’d already purposely rejected Jere for his brother and now was doing the exact same thing to Conrad. Oof. Not cute.

AND ON TOP OF THAT, I heard there was a season 3 and so I looked up the synopsis of the third book AND BELLY GOES BACK TO CONRAD AGAIN. Ugh. No. I hate that even more. Like just give up on the boys at that point, there is too much switching between brothers and it’s weird. There’s a reason it didn’t work out with both of them and I think y’all are better off as friends.

So yeah, safe to say if the third season goes the same way as the book I won’t enjoy it lol. I like the idea of the show and everything in that it’s coming of age, first love and cute and all but the actual love story is not for me.

The Flatshare

This was so cute! I normally dislike when a movie/TV show is exactly the same as the book but I really enjoyed this one. I think because it’s been a while since I read the book, but the story is fun and I think the adaptation played it perfectly.

Honestly could not recommend enough if you love the book or haven’t seen it. I feel like we need more of this kind of rom-com stuff in our lives. They don’t really make movies/TV shows like this anymore. I don’t have much to say about this but that’s just because it was so fabulous.

And that brings us to the end of my current “to watch” list! I am not sure what is next for me, I know there is a new Love is Blind season but I don’t know if I am quite ready for more of that as I feel like I’ve watched a lot of LIB recently. But I do wish there were more shows like the ones I mentioned here in general. Like where are my girly light chick-flick-y type things? If you have any suggestions for shows I might like please let me know!

In the meantime, I’ll probably be rewatching something like Gossip Girl or Gilmore Girls. Heck, I’ve even been considering rewatching Vampire Diaries recently…but that’s all for now. I’m sure I’ll be back soon with something else I need to share my opinion on very soon lol.

Love Is Blind Season 4 Reunion Thoughts

Today we are talking about the Love Is Blind season 4 reunion! A few days late but you know it’s fine. I didn’t even watch this season until all the episodes had been released, like literally finished it the day before the reunion filmed so I’ve been behind on this season in general.

To be honest, I don’t think I’ve fully recovered from all the drama in the last season lol. I also feel fatigue from meeting so many new people each season like it’s exhausting always getting to know new people but I guess that’s the blight of reality TV. I just prefer the same cast we keep forever and we already know them, it’s easier.

But anyway yeah, onto this reunion. As always, my wedding predictions are wrong. I didn’t know if Bliss/Zack were going to make it and I also wasn’t sure about Kwame/Chelsea and they both surprised me but we’ll see if they last.

So the reunion was meant to be live but it wasn’t? They blame technical difficulties lol. I don’t know what went down because I wasn’t trying to watch it live, mainly because it was meant to be at 1 a.m. in the UK and I didn’t care enough to stay up. But I guess it worked out for me since they didn’t go live for ages/if at all.

The first thing I want to point out about the reunion and all Love Is Blind reunions is that they never spend enough time on the happily married couples. I’m talking about the ones that seemed to just get along fine the whole time and you know they’re gonna say yes at the altar. E.g. Lauren and Cameron, Alexa and Brennon and this season, Tiffany and Brett.

Yes Tiffany did fall asleep in the pods, but that was nothing, we’ve talked to that to death. Since they didn’t really have any other conflict or issue to overcome – that they aired – they get nothing in the reunion. It’s like ten minutes tops, meanwhile we listened to Kwame and Chelsea go on for half an hour. It’s not a dig at Kwame and Chelsea, it’s more that I wish we could hear more from the happy couples and their lives. It’s not as interesting but they deserve a spotlight especially if they want to prove their experiment really works, they should be selling the shit out of the successful couples.

Also on the note of Kwame and Chelsea, I love that they brought up Micah only to not let her really speak at all on the situation. I don’t like that they ask her a question and then ignore her afterward, like yes, you are speaking about a couple but you also brought up Micah because she was involved there with the potential conflict. I just think we need to hear out all parties. Everyone criticizes Vanessa and Nick for being bad hosts and this is why lol. To be fair, it seems like they have a better handle on things in this one than they did in the past with the whole Shake situation.

It’s good to see that Kwame and Chelsea’s relationship is stronger than what we were shown on TV though because the narrative they were pushing was that it was very strongly one-sided in that Chelsea decided everything and Kwame was sacrificing a lot. I’m sure that was an issue for them but I hope they have resolved it.

It’s also nice that this reunion is a lot calmer and it’s not just everyone shitting on one person because it would’ve been so easy for them to all turn on Irina the way that everyone turned on Cole in the last reunion. And in my opinion, what Irina did was way worse than any of Cole’s actions. She was a classic mean girl and was awful to Zack when she saw him in person and there’s all the tapes to prove it. So it’s good to see everyone being mature about the situation.

That being said Irina kept talking in circles, plus she was half owning up to her mistakes and half dismissing them because of her mental health. Which, yes mental health issues are valid but if you were really having a big crisis about it then leave the show. Though based on recent reports I don’t think it’s as easy as just walking off.

I just know that I could never show my face if the world saw me treat people like she treated Zack it was so unfair to him. And it’s the exact shit that Shake was doing and he got treated worse for it, I guess because he was openly telling people he was done with Deepti but even so, it’s not good. Even if you are in a situation you don’t like you shouldn’t string people along just to have your 15 minutes of fame.

I am glad that Zack and Bliss are doing well though. Don’t love Zack’s beard but that’s a personal thing lol. I feel like they didn’t really touch a lot on their relationship that I recall, I guess because once they did get together it was smooth sailing like Brett and Tiffany we don’t need to ask them questions.

They did not handle talking about Paul and Micah well at all lol. It just felt awkward them seeming to pressure Paul for answers about why he said no at the altar etc. And Paul seems like the kind of guy who is not able to articulate himself well under pressure, I feel for the guy.

Also, I understand what he was trying to say about how you shouldn’t have to ask your partner to be more affectionate but at the same time bro you gotta communicate your love languages. If they are different from Micah’s then let her know she can do more of what you need, you know? Maybe she’s not all touchy feely but you need that then tell her. I’m not putting all the blame on Paul but I just think communication could be better for both parties.

I do wish we got more information about their relationship outside the pods but sounds like there wasn’t really one lol. I also would have liked to hear more from Micah but she didn’t seem up for saying much.

Then we move on to Jackie and Josh and I feel like it was a cop out for them not be there. I mean I understand why they aren’t there because they didn’t want to be put on blast but at the same time it just seems like they hiding. I also feel like Vanessa’s interview did not uncover anything lol. Josh barely said two words. Lame.

It seemed like Marshall wanted to say a lot about what Jackie said but he held back. I feel like he’s probably the smartest on that though it could be because he doesn’t want to paint himself in a bad light. Though at least he was there he could defend himself.

Then to wrap up the reunion, they had video clips they asked the couples to film of their married lives. This translated to some house tours? lol I mean I love a good sneak peak into people’s lives but I expected more. Thankfully Zack and Bliss came through with the goods, the cute photos and things. I gotta say I don’t love Zack’s singing but I didn’t marry him so as long as Bliss loves it, it’s fine.

I have to say, I wasn’t really sold on Zack and Bliss during the show but seeing them at the reunion changed my mind. They are so cute and in love and I am rooting for them.

The last thing I’ll say about the reunion is that Vanessa needs to stop putting pressure on people to have kids. It’s super uncomfortable, even getting Bartise to send in a video with his son and asking about having kids…it’s not a good look. These people got married only a year ago and still barely know each other can we give it time? But also what if they don’t want kids? It just wasn’t the best note to end on.

And all that leaves is the question, are they doing an After the Altar? I feel like they don’t have to since the reunion was live. But at the same time, I prefer seeing them in After the Altar just doing their own things and seeing more of the married couple life. I guess it’s just because I’m hoping for some last minute drama lol.

Oh and they announced a new season of Ultimatum, which I did enjoy the first season of so might check it out again. But all in all, I’d say reunion was fine. Nothing special. I never feel like the reunion episodes give me much. Anyway, glad to put another season of Love Is Blind behind me. Now to find other trash TV to fill the void…

Perfect Match Finale Thoughts

I’m back with more Perfect Match thoughts. After binge-watching episodes 5-8 yesterday and spamming my Twitter timeline (sorry followers) I just know I am going to have a lot of thoughts for the final four episodes so I have decided to share them here lol.

Highlights from my binge-watching yesterday were:

  • Francesca embodies Regina George so much it’s not even funny. I actually loved the way she dismissed Damien by calling over Kariselle and then telling Damien to go check up on Dom lol. Like it was so bitchy but also I’m here for it.
  • It throws me off that some of these people are the same age as I am because like I could never see Bartise and be like “oh yeah I wanna date him” but that’s also because I know he is trash from watching LIB and this.
  • Ines has been spiralling recently and I feel like this show has not been good for her. I do wish she had had that chance with Dom but he always seems to immediately lock in when he’s with someone.
  • Also, I had no idea they could bring people back after they had left but I guess it makes sense, there are only so many cast members this show could support.
  • I also don’t know if I vibe with Will outside of the Mole but I like his whole “I have to win this thing no matter what” attitude lol. It’s clear he isn’t here for love but just a fun time and also to win even though I don’t think you win anything other than being called a good couple lol

Now we have that out of the way, it’s time for me to dive into these new episodes:

Episode 9:

  • The boys only support the girls being bisexual because they love watching girls makeout like don’t act like it’s a real supportive thing, you know Joey would be madder if Kariselle turned around and said she’s done with him and wanted to be with Francesca
  • Once again Ines is being treated like shit because Damien is hung up on Francesca. I hate that for her. All these men ain’t for her.
  • Chloe and Shayne are cute and I ship it, hopefully, it works out
  • I thought I was going to be all for Francesca this season but honestly, she’s turned into such a villain and also all her asides with Kariselle, ugh it’s tiring. Like it’s classic popular girl not used to getting what she wants and stropping about it and it makes good TV but sing a new song hun
  • Not even surprised that Will would go for Francesca because they both have the same drive to win things
  • Ines choosing herself is the best-case scenario for me. I love her and I want better for her.
  • Diamond was also too good for all the boys and I applaud her for exiting in the way she wanted
  • I am gonna miss Will because we didn’t see a lot of him but he probably wouldn’t have made a good match with anyone
  • Mitch just wasn’t ready to be on the show he couldn’t even commit to Chloe who was his ex lol

Episode 10:

  • Lol can’t even be surprised that Francesca would want an open marriage – also looked it up and not shocked that she and Damien aren’t together. Damien just seems to love to chase after women he can’t keep up with and will chew him up and spit him out…
  • In a weird way, I missed Nick, I didn’t expect to but now he’s on a date with Abbey and I’m like “oh remember Nick”
  • I feel like Shayne was acting the same way with Natalie on Love Is Blind, like he would just get in his head about something and then not listen to what the other person had to say. He’s so not ready to be here if he’s thinking of leaving

Episode 11:

  • Ooh Chaos bringing the singles back. I almost forgot about the Savannah/Francesca beef until she walked in the room. I wonder if there will be any cattiness tonight…
  • Will shooting his shot with everyone we love to see it. Come in and test everyone and their connections, that’s the name of the game
  • Francesca choosing no one is the plot twist I was not expecting but I am glad it happened. I mean she could have strung Damien along just to win but would it really have been worth it?
  • Not gonna lie, I didn’t like Abbey that much she seemed very insecure no matter who she was with.
  • Also not surprised Bartise decided to go for Izzy again.
  • Surprisingly, not as much drama as I thought there would be with bringing people back.

Episode 12:

  • I wasn’t thinking about it until just now but like a lot of these couples are long-distance and I don’t think any of them work in the real world lol. Joey and Kariselle give me hope but even then I don’t know…
  • I don’t see Shayne going to the UK constantly and vice versa for Chloe. But then Chloe did date Mitch for a while and he was in the US so idk…still doesn’t seem likely
  • SHUT UP JOEY NO YOU DIDN’T PROPOSE I’M SHOOK. Bro see now if they aren’t together I’mma be FUMING.

I’m not going to lie by the final episode I really didn’t care who won lol. Since everyone was so coupled up in the last few episodes it was not as interesting for me. I need the drama.

Suffice to say I’ve looked everyone up on Instagram and they don’t tell me anything – oh well Dom and Georgia aren’t together because it looks like Georgia is with Harry from Too Hot to Handle season 1 but we knew Dom was too good for anyone really.

I have mostly been waiting to see if Joey and Kariselle are still together. I have a feeling being back in the real world makes it more difficult because these dating shows put you in a bubble where you’re together all the time and have nothing to do but be together but like life ain’t like that. So yeah I don’t know, we’ll see. I’m rooting for them.

Honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever been so hooked on a show like I also really love the Circle so I feel it’s the only other thing I have really been into like this. I also wanna say is this what Love Island is like? Because I’ve never watched it but if it is then maybe that’s what I gotta look into next lol.

Anyway, thanks for joining me on this short journey if you did because I had a lot of fun. Next on the horizon for me is probably dipping back into Grey’s Anatomy since it’s been a long time and even though I have kind of fallen out of love with it I’ve made it through so many seasons that I need to see it through til the end. So look out for my usual thoughts on that soon. Oh and me finally finishing the PLL book series because I am on the final book for that so that’s exciting!

So far 2023 has been a great year for my blog let’s hope I can keep it up the rest of the year haha.

Perfect Match Netflix First Impressions

I’ve been waiting for this show to come out for what feels like forever. I remember when I first heard about it and I knew it was going to be trash. But like in a fun binge-able let’s judge everyone kind of way. Plus they are throwing a bunch of people in from shows I’ve actually watched so it’ll be fun to see them all interact together you know?

And you know, when watching any kind of show like this of course I’m gonna have thoughts I wanna share with people and so I thought I’d come here to share, mainly because I have too many thoughts for a Twitter thread and no one in my real life will care about this lol. So here are my first impressions of Perfect Match on Netflix!

Contestants

I have decided to talk about all the contestants, even the ones that aren’t on the show yet. Just to give you my overall first thoughts on them before starting the show.

Francesca: I remember I didn’t like her much in Too Hot to Handle but was rooting for her and Harry. All I remember of her afterwards was her hanging out with Tana Mongeau one time after Harry did lol. Plus they invited her on Love is Blind: After the Altar season one to cause drama with Giannina since she was friends with Damien. That was really dumb. lol Can’t imagine her being amazing in this, to be honest I mean she clearly didn’t do any growing from Too Hot to Handle.

Joey: I loved him in the Circle season one! He was a fave and his friendship with Shubham will always be one of the best bromances of all time. I remember him being not the best at flirting with Miranda lol like him yelling at his screen to put in the eggplant emoji haha. But looking forward to seeing how he does on this show.

Nick: All I remember about him was his was hella strategic in the Circle and I kind of liked that. It was a good season for sure. I can’t imagine what he’s like flirting or anything. I think because the only time I’ve seen him he was being awkward in an apartment alone while also trying to play two profiles at once that time… so yeah I don’t know, maybe he’ll be strategic here and only want to win and not find love? I don’t even know if they win anything on this show but it’s a guess haha

Shayne: I was rooting for him and Natalie to be honest. I thought they were both going to say yes at the altar but then Natalie said no. I mean I think she was valid, she said he got really aggressive the night before the wedding which wasn’t great. Seemed very red flag to me and also like don’t see him really finding any long-lasting love here. I mean I don’t see that for anyone realistically lol it’s a Netflix show. But also, don’t remember how the after the altar episodes went I think the main focus was really on Sal and his new girlfriend lol so yeah idk what to expect here. Nothing good to be honest.

Dom: All I got from him on the Mole was he was about that money. I am sad the group didn’t vote for him to come back in to be honest. He didn’t stick around enough to leave a lasting impression so interested to see what he’s like out here.

Zay: I don’t remember him much from the Ultimatum lol if he wasn’t in the Colby/Madlyn/Randall drama I didn’t want it. He clearly had a quiet personality for me while on that show so I hope he brings more to the table here. Or fade in to the background again dude it’s cool, there’s so many people on this show already I can’t keep track.

Savannah: She was only in the Circle for 5 minutes lol. I remember I was rooting for her and Terilisha to be besties and then they ended up hating each other and they both got eliminated so early. Sad. I am excited to see more from her in this show though.

Chase: Bro I don’t remember much about him in Too Hot to Handle other than that freaking beetle landing on his forehead haha. I feel like I didn’t like him though.

Calvin: He was on the Circle with Nick but I don’t remember him lol. He clearly wasn’t the main character in that season it was Nick vs the other strong player that season who I don’t remember – like you were either team Nick or team the other person. And Calvin was just somewhere in the middle.

Damien: He seemed like such a pushover when he was with Giannina on Love is Blind. Then in the After the Altar episodes, he annoyed me with his friendship with Francesca haha. Like he gave me valley girl vibes when he talked with her he just seemed like he really dumbed down or something. But who knows? Maybe he’s not like that anymore…jk he’s probably worse.

Bartise: Well if Shayne’s engagement only ended 8 months ago when they filmed this show then Bartise’s didn’t end much sooner. I have to say I was impressed with his honesty with Nancy but at the same time, he was too honest and treated her like crap a lot and the fact she still said yes to him will always confuse me. I don’t see him being any better in this show than he was on his own show.

Chloe: I love Chloe, I think she’s fun. I enjoyed her on the Circle especially. I follow her on Instagram and I know she recently got herself sober and is living her best life. I am not sure what kind of mental state she was on for this show but I hope it was a good one? Though you never know to be honest. Still, I am looking forward to seeing more of her whether she finds love or not.

Mitchell: All I remember about him was that he and Chloe were kind of crushing on each other in the Circle lol. So I imagine they’ll probably hook up on this show. But also based on previews he’s not comfortable in long-term relationships??? Bro that’s what this show is about lol Idk he’s probably just there for more air time on TV.

Will: I finished watching the Mole recently and I really liked Will. He was always focused on the prize and he made it all the way to the end with that dolla. So yay him! I am looking forward to seeing what he is like in this context though, will he just be another fuck boy or will he be looking for something real? My money is kind of on fuck boy, which is sad but he gives me the vibes.

Diamond: I’m just hoping for better things for her after Carlton blew up on her in Love is Blind. I’m not saying she’d find great love here but I just think she would have a better time here than she did on LIB.

LC: I don’t remember much about her to be honest. I remember Barnett considered marrying her for like a second but then that ended lol. I haven’t seen her come up on the board yet in the TV show so she’s probably going to be a later addition and I could see her fading into the background once again…

  • Surprise, surprise everyone interested in Francesca again…might as well be watching Too Hot to Handle
  • Daddy Nick? I don’t recall this lol
  • Katrielle seems really desperate to find love – and idk if that’s gonna work out for her or hurt her. Especially when she matches with Joey who sounds like he’s not willing to put in what she was to their relationship when they hooked up before. Like Joey just gives me fuck boy vibes.
  • Ines and Shayne okay? I don’t know her so I can’t really comment. Shayne, ugh I can’t tell how serious he is about this at all.
  • How long were they out there talking and how much alcohol did Netflix give them? I bet they wanted to use gold cups but couldn’t so we have shitty white ones.
  • Also love Savannah and Nick strategising to break up Francesca and Dom. Nick seems hella desperate for Francesca. It seems so awkward to talk to Savannah about that as someone who is also a potential match but I guess they ain’t feeling that way toward each other.
  • Nick stealing Francesca from Dom? He is BOLD. Well, he tried lol.
  • So is Savannah only agreeing to match with Nick because she doesn’t wanna be left with Zay lol. Like currently Zay is giving me nothing and the fact he is only matched with Anne-Marie by default also states he’s bland AF. Also, I guess Anne-Marie was outshined by the other girls but I wanna know more about her.
  • Okay, so Savannah doesn’t want love she just wants to win. Love that for her.
  • I think Dom really likes Francesca but she the kind of girl to eat you alive if you ain’t careful.

Thoughts on the other episodes

Have I binged watched the first four since making the first initial list of my thoughts? Absolutely. And I have been tweeting about it lol. I really tried to get this blog post up before I watched any more of the show but I’ve been behind a lot on blogging in general so I’m adding this bit in here.

I’ve been really surprised about Francesca sticking with Dom for so long but it was probably the safest move, she knew he would be loyal to her and would keep her around long enough to maybe find someone better. And then she decides to go on date with Damien? Lol. I honestly don’t see them being a good couple, maybe it’s because I dislike Damien but yeah I don’t hold high hopes for them.

I hope Dom finds someone else who will actually appreciate him because he seems like a genuine guy, he’s not as well-known as everyone else and to me, he is the least reality show person in the bunch. My worst fear is this show turns him into a douchebag reality star.

Nick surprised me as being a player, I guess I never saw him this way in the Circle lol. But he has managed to get around in the house. I ain’t mad about it, though I was surprised he scored so highly in the kissing challenge I didn’t think he was going to be amazing but who knew haha.

I hope Ines gets more respect around the house like she was passed to Nick for one night and it was shit and then got dumped for someone else immediately. Plus Francesca wants to set her up with Bartise?! Guys that’s not a smart decision Bartise is trash lol. Nancy was just too blind to see how awful he was as a partner to her and you think he’d do better with Ines? Unlikely.

If Ines is compatible with Dom bring that relationship on because I think that would be a strong connection.

Kariselle and Joey seemed to have settled into whatever it is they are which is good for them. I was worried Joey was gonna be a major fuck boy and screw Kariselle over but I think it’s fine. At least for now. They’ve had a few background episodes so I wonder when the drama will spark up again between them. Or they could ride into the sunset but I am not banking on that yet.

Also, the Savannah and Francesca face-off was just great TV and if I could have more of it I would appreciate it. It’s the condescending polite tones that really send me over the edge. So basically if anyone wants to write a chick flick based on this with Mean Girls vibes please and thanks because I would love to see it.

So those are all my thoughts on Perfect Match so far! This is a longer blog post than anticipated but better than a 100-tweet thread lol. I am definitely looking forward to diving into the new batch of episodes that was released today, I know it’s going to be exciting throwing new people in.

Will I do more blog posts? I don’t know, maybe. It’s clear I’ve got opinions about this show haha so we’ll see. But in the meantime, I’m going back to binge-watching. Who knew this was the trash Netflix show missing from my life?

Love Is Blind Season 3 Wedding Predictions

I feel like it wasn’t that long ago I was writing about Love is Blind season 2 lol. I guess maybe because the season 2 After the Altar episodes weren’t that long ago. But I thought I’d share how I feel about the couples of season 3 and what I think will happen at the weddings. So we already have seen Raven and SK’s but I’m still going to talk about it because it was a shocker. This whole season has been a mess and I have lots of thoughts so might as well share a blog post, even though I have been tweeting up quite a storm recently about the show lol and will no doubt tweet more as the rest of the weddings unfold. But until then, here are my predictions for the rest of the weddings.

Raven and SK

I was not expecting SK to say no and I feel like many people felt the same way. Never did he give an indication that he was going to say no he was so positive about this whole experience and so yeah that was wild and dramatic.

If anything, I thought Raven was going to say no. She was not ever going to live up to the ideals of a Nigerian wife and I know SK said that’s not what he wanted but I’m sure down the line there are some things he would wish for that Raven would not feel comfortable doing. So I think overall this was a good decision.

It’s just wild that even his family didn’t know he was going to say no. Especially after how he talked about how he loved Raven and everything before he was like “I don’t tho”. Savage. I could never go through something like this only for them to say no at the wedding. I bet Raven is glad her family didn’t wanna be involved now.

Bartise and Nancy

I feel horrible for Nancy to be honest. Like you know it’s bad when she’s literally crying to someone else about how your fiancé doesn’t seem to find you attractive.

Then there’s the whole abortion thing. Yikes. I know Bartise thinks they can talk through it together and he was learning from her but I also feel like if in the future, Nancy for whatever reason needed to abort their child he would not be okay with it. I just don’t think that’s a thing you easily change your mind on.

OH, and of course, Bartise bringing up Nancy having the business with her ex every five minutes. I feel he’s insecure but like there’s been no evidence of Nancy sneaking off to meet her ex or doing anything shady. So to me, it’s just him complaining about something just to complain.

I’m actually disappointed Nancy said yes. She has put up with so much crap from Bartise and she hasn’t done anything wrong. I thought she would have given up on him immediately from when he started talking about how he felt about seeing Raven but she didn’t.

As for Bartise, I don’t know what he says. In my head, it would be easy for him to say yes because Nancy is a good person, he would be financially secure with her income and live his best life. Like his friends said before the wedding how he wanted someone to take care of him, which is all well and good but is that a partner or a parent you know?

Ooh I just rewatched the first ever promo after the first lot of episodes dropped and it looks like Nancy’s brothers are pissed so something tells me Bartise could say no. I mean not that the brothers were impressed with Bartise to begin with. So could be messy, now I’m intrigued to see what happens.

Alexa and Brennan

The first couple to get engaged is always framed as the ones meant to last. And I think Alexa and Brennan could be good together. I mean they are a bit awkward at times but I feel like that’s to be expected when you meet and have a relationship without seeing each other haha.

I don’t know if they would be as solid as Lauren and Cameron but realistically no one will be. But I could see them both saying and things being fine. Even with Alexa wanting a prenup lol.

That being said the promo for Wednesday makes me think Brennan might say no though like him crying? But he could just be emotional…I think Alexa says yes though, I don’t know if she has reason to say no.

Cole and Zanab

As soon as I saw Cole I knew he was going to be another Shake type. And he’s living up to that. I mean as soon as he got out of the pods and was talking to the other guys he was already like “I am not physically attracted to her.” Great. I mean it’s valid not to be physically attracted to someone but if it’s not happening just walk away. Like why string someone along for TV it’s harsh.

And then when they started showing Cole and Zanab having good moments I just felt like Cole was trying too hard to compliment Zanab. I mean she may like that and need that to feel secure in the relationship but if Cole was playing it up I can see him getting bored of it quickly.

It also does not look good when Cole is asking Zanab to be nicer to him haha. To be honest their dynamic has been really weird and I don’t like them as a couple.

People on Twitter seem to have mixed feelings about them saying Zay is the one that’s crazy or Cole is a manchild and I think it’s both lol. Like Zanab wants someone who looks like Cole but isn’t Cole since she seems very annoyed when he tries to be his actual self. And for Cole, he wants someone who is a little immature like him to have fun with and not be too serious, oh and looks like Colleen obviously lol.

But yeah I don’t know if Cole will say yes or not. In my head, because of how Zanab talks she’s in it 99% of the way but maybe while walking down the aisle she gets some sense knocked into her and says no. Let’s wait and see…

Colleen and Matt

Oh boy. Well, Matt was giving such a red flag when he threatened to walk out the first time. Like he got so angry over a conversation Colleen had with Cole and I don’t even think it was bad. It was crazy. And then it happened again a few episodes later and I’m like…this is not the kind of person you want to marry.

I think it’s obvious Matt has some issues to work through and was so not ready to go on this show and commit. Like in the latest promo you see him freaking out and being indecisive. I also think he’s the one that says “I do not” in the first promo they showed after the first lot of episodes aired or something. (Though I just rewatched the promos and I could have made up the fact someone says I do not because I didn’t hear it the second time???) But I would be okay if he says no because he’s too on edge all the time to be fully in this relationship.

I don’t know what Colleen would say, to be honest, I mean she’s very on the fence so could go either way. I mean if Matt was the one to say yes would she also say yes? I don’t know. But also if she says no after he’s said yes in my head he would just fly off the handle like he has previously so would make for good TV. So I guess we shall see.

And so those are all my predictions for this season, I honestly feel so much more up in the air with these ones compared to last season. I had clear ideas of who was going to say what but this time I am very unsure. I guess because this time I went on Twitter before writing this and people were swaying me in different directions lol. Either way I am very invested in these weddings and can’t wait to see how it unfolds. See you all at the altar on Wednesday!

Recently Watched TV Shows February – March 2022

I did a blog post like this last year where I finally sat down to watch a bunch of Netflix shows I had had on my list for a long time and I’ve decided to do it again! I finished a long rewatch of Pretty Little Liars a couple of months ago and so I was more than ready to dive into some one-season shows that were shorter and more noncommital.

So these are all the shows I’ve watched recently and my thoughts on them!

For the People

I love a good Shondaland show and I decided to watch this because it only had two seasons and my Disney+ subscription was expiring and I wanted to use it.

So this was not a successful Shondaland show, which is sad because it had the potential to be a strong show. Because we know Shonda can do a law show – How to Get Away With Murder and Scandal being good examples.

But in this show, they tried to give the lawyers personal lives and then they dropped them and never brought them up again. Like I was ready for the Kate Littlejohn girlfriend arc to be cute and fun. I needed them to give me more of Richard and Jill. What the hell happened with Allison and Seth after Allison hooked up with a different guy?

They just created these plotlines and dropped them like nothing and it was sad. Don’t get me wrong, the law cases are interesting and the main part but don’t bring up the lawyers’ personal lives if there’s going to be nothing to them. So yeah, sad it was a bit of a flop but it was enjoyable for the two seasons it had.

One of Us is Lying

This one was okay. I feel like if I didn’t read the book I would have been more into it. I read the books last year and I enjoyed them so I was excited about the TV show.

Nothing much to say about it to be honest haha I mean it follows the books pretty close so can’t complain but it was a bit boring because I already knew what happened.

Still, it looks like the next season is deviating from the second book so we will see what that’s like. I would recommend it if you haven’t read the book!

The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window

I got through this in two days, we love short TV shows. This one was a wild journey from start to finish but something fun to watch. Don’t really know if I would have tuned into another season but it was nice for what it was haha.

The Chair

This show made me realise how much I miss Sandra Oh. She’s just an amazing actress and it was fun to see her in something other than Grey’s Anatomy.

A lot was happening in this show from the get-go and I loved that. There was always something new but the characters are easy to identify and you get invested quite easily. At least I did.

I wasn’t expecting the show to wrap up so nicely in the last episode like it did. I suppose as one season it does stand well on its own but I am hoping for another season. I feel like we just started to get to know everyone so I want more of this world.

Though if they want to just do a spin-off following the life of JuJu that would be fine she gives me life and I could easily watch her go on adventures day after day.

So I highly recommend this show! It’s a short one but it’s fun!

Lost

Okay this one I’ve been watching with my boyfriend and also I started it in December but I just finished it and I needed to include it to add my thoughts.

Honestly, disappointed lol. It was a big show at the time it was airing and there was a lot of mystery but things were just not explained enough for me. I just felt a bit cheated and then it kind of looked like they had all been dead the whole time???

I’m kind of sad I didn’t bail out of this one sooner but also proud that my boyfriend and I finished a long-running show together haha. We usually don’t.

Bridgerton Season 2

I included Bridgerton in my blog post last year and I loved it and obviously I watched season 2. I’m not going to lie, Anthony and Kate were not the most interesting people this season lol. I wanted them to get together sooner than they did but maybe that’s just because I read the book and things happened a bit differently then.

I need more about Penelope next season, and I know in terms of books she won’t get her moment with Colin until book 4 aka season 4 but can we skip Benedict and go straight to Pen? I feel like that’s what the audience would want as well. Especially now that Eloise knows her secret.

Also, spoilers if you haven’t read the books BUT I picked up on the Easter Egg from season one this season when they revisited Marina. In the books; Marina dies and Eloise ends up becoming step mum to the twins and marrying Philip Crane. BUT in the TV show, Marina seems perfectly fine and has just given birth to the twins so I wonder what will happen with that?

To be honest, I hope Eloise ends up with someone else, she deserves more than to be with Philip Crane because if we’re going by the books he’s not great. Like he’s a bad father and just hides away all day in his greenhouse and Eloise is so not the type to just accept that. So I want a better husband for her in the TV show.

Not sure how they will bring Sophie into the mix for Benedict but I think that story will be a cute one. But I’m getting ahead of myself, season 2 just aired!

Overall a good season but Penelope and everyone else were a bit more interesting than our main characters. Like Lady Featherington really slayed hustling the ton and then “cousin Jack” she’s an icon. Plus didn’t miss the Duke of Hastings which is good but also sad because I do enjoy Rege Jean Page.

Currently Watching: Inventing Anna, Queer Eye S6 and More!

Okay so I wanted to include Inventing Anna in this list but my boyfriend and I haven’t finished it as we have been busy watching Silicon Valley and the Amazing Race, but I do hope to get to the end of it soon! Especially because it seems like the kind of show I would watch very quickly on my own.

My boyfriend and I have also been watching Queer Eye season 6, we started one episode like months ago but have been making good progress on the season so far, who doesn’t need some Fab 5 in their life during hard times?

And then on my own; I have been taking time to finally watch Drag Race US Season 14! Honestly, this season is so strong and I am not sure who is going to take the crown but I think I’m mostly rooting for Willow Pill.

I have also watched two episodes of Euphoria and I want to continue on that because it has a lot of hype around it, and maybe I’ll even take in the next season of Grey’s Anatomy…basically what I am saying is there is no shortage of TV shows to be watching at the minute and I am ready for it all lol.

My Predictions for the Love is Blind Season 2 Weddings

I just finished episode 9 of Love is Blind and was sad to find out that I have to wait a few days to see how all the weddings turn out! But while we wait, I’ve decided to share my predictions on how each wedding will go, so let’s get into it!

Danielle and Nick

So we already know Danielle says yes but I think Nick is going to say no. Did y’all see him at the wedding? He was so SWEATY so he was hella nervous.

I think he’s not ready to commit to marriage but I can see him wanting to keep dating for a while, I don’t know if Danielle will agree to that though because I feel like after being humiliated at the altar when Nick says no is enough to drive her off completely.

These two never seemed like the most stable from the beginning so…I don’t know if their marriage would work even if Nick says yes.

Shayne and Natalie

I think they will both say yes. I thought Shaina might have derailed them but that hasn’t happened so I think they will be fine.

Though they are very different people though so not sure if it will be a long-lasting thing. I think maybe Shayne’s immaturity will grind on Natalie a lot. So we’ll see.

Iyanna and Jarrette

Jarrette is going to say yes. No doubt that’s all I have to say about him haha.

Iyanna is more tricky because I think she could say yes or no. If she says no it’s because of the feeling like a second choice thing but also her difference in lifestyle to Jarrette. But if she says yes I think she will still harbour those feelings of being second best and so they could end up breaking up after a while.

Deepti and Shake

Deepti or Shake could say no.

Shake would say no because of the physical attraction thing. Or if he says yes, I don’t think he would be okay in a marriage that didn’t have much of a physical aspect. In the beginning, it would be fine because Deepti is very supportive and caring but if they weren’t being intimate it would cause problems in the long term.

I also think Deepti could say no because she deserves someone who desires her in all aspects of the relationship so the lack of physical intimacy could be an issue for her too. Again, if they both say yes this could be an issue in the long term.

I don’t know if the physical attraction could come later for Shake but would they both be willing to stick it out to see it happening? I think if they don’t get married they might still date possibly.

Mallory and Sal

I think Sal is 100% going to say yes, and he will probably sing to Mal with his ukulele at the wedding lol. He will not say his vows, he’ll sing them.

I think Mallory will say yes but after speaking with my friend Lauren, I can see how she would say no. I know she didn’t have a strong physical attraction to Sal in the beginning, and I wonder if that is still a problem because she hasn’t been super vocal about it.

Don’t really know if they have had any other issues, at least none I can think of, but I think if they say yes they could be happy together.

So those are all my predictions for the couples! As you can tell I’m invested in this so I can’t wait to see how things turn out.

I can’t be sad or surprised if none of them works out though, it is still reality TV to an extent. That being said I will be happy if they do work out because I’m sappy and romantic.

But overall I expect at least one happy couple, one big blowout when someone says no and one mutually agreed separation. So we’ll see if Love is Blind provides all the goods in the season finale this Friday!

Recently Watched Netflix Shows

In February, I finally finished the Originals which means that I had finally been able to start on some new shows. There have been quite a few Netflix shows that I have been wanting to watch, but wouldn’t let myself until I finished the Originals, because if I wasn’t going to finish it now, I probably would never have finished it.

Now that I have been freed up to watch something new, I decided to tackle the list of Netflix shows I have that are all just one season. Because they are all just one season, it makes them easy to watch. Will they have more than one season? Who’s to say, but it means I can get through them quickly and move onto the next.

And instead of making blog posts for each one of them, I decided to combine them all into this one blog post and share some thoughts. I imagine I will have more thoughts on some than others, but this way they all get covered quickly and then I guess I can go on to bigger and better shows lol.

Warning, there will be spoilers for these shows ahead.

So first off we have:

Bridgerton

This was one that was at the top of the list. I mean it’s Gossip Girl in the 1800s and I love Gossip Girl. Plus it’s from Shondaland and I also have a history of loving every Shonda show I’ve ever watched. So talk about a match made in heaven.

I didn’t take to it right away, but the show definitely grew on me. I am a fan, and I’m excited to see the next season and also to read the books. I didn’t think I was that attached to the show until it ended and now I find myself wanting to know everything about this world lol.

Plus the fact they revealed Lady Whistledown’s identity in season one, it was a bold move but now I just want to rewatch and keep an eye out for clues. But also, I’m left with lots of questions and wondering where go from here for next season. I guess if anything, I’m glad there is going to be a next season.

What/If

This has been on my list for a long time but I just never got around to watching it, until now. It was okay. I mean most of it was me trying to figure out what Anne wanted with Lisa and Sean and then they revealed it and I thought it was terrible. Like it kind of ruined it for me that Anne was Lisa’s mum, I don’t know why but I just hate those kind of plot twists. It reminds me of a book I read not long ago where they had a similar reveal and I hated that so…yeah it’s not my favourite storyline lol.

Also it was so weird that Marcos kept talking to that guy he and his boyfriend had a threesome with one time. Like I thought it was a one-off thing but then they kept hanging out which was strange to me but I guess it’s cool if they can be friends.

Then there was that creepy doctor guy who had an affair with Angela and that escalated so fast like he literally turned into a psycho killer in 5 seconds. I mean I sensed something was wrong with him when we first met him but dang.

But yeah overall just okay, not exactly what I was expecting but still interesting if you are into that whole thing. Definitely not something I would rush back to if it were to come back for another season, though it did come out two years ago so I feel like if there was going to be another season we would have heard about it by now.

The Society

Another one that has been on my list for a long time. I wasn’t sure how to feel about it at first, especially when the show starts and you’re introduced to like 20 people at the same time and it’s all confusing. Like even now I’m finished the season I still don’t think I know half the people’s names. But the show did grow on me.

I’m sad that Netflix cancelled it after one season, they were even going to have a second season but it was cancelled due to COVID. Which is annoying especially when there are so many questions I have about the show. For example, what the heck was that reveal at the end? Like the parents are fine? The kids are dead? The dog exists in both worlds? I need to know what the deal is with “the smell”.

I also need to know what is going to happen to Allie, she doesn’t deserve to die. Is Campbell going to ultimately end up killing Elle or will she kill herself to escape him? Is Lexie going to be a good leader? I’m not even going to entertain the idea of Harry being a leader because he’s not one lol. Also are they really going to teach themselves how to farm/are they going to find out where they are?

So yeah, definitely sad to have gotten involved in this one just because we don’t know what would have happened. I imagine there is a bunch of fanfiction out there/fan theories so I may have to look that up to satisfy my need for an ending.

Dare Me

This had the potential to be the teen drama show I needed in my life. Like I love a good high school drama show, I live for Pretty Little Liars and Gossip Girl. But sadly, this did not live up to that.

I mean it definitely had me interested with Beth, she seems like the one I need to be the main character. Addy is just eh, like it’s weird she gets wrapped up into the world of the ‘Coach’. I mean the Coach is supposed to be a grown ass woman and the only person she can make friends with is a high school cheerleader? Creepy.

I thought this was going to be like Fab Five Texas High School Cheerleading Scandal-type drama but it was very flat in comparison. I mean a few things were interesting but the big drama happened at the end and even with that, not that impressed. So sad it didn’t live up to my expectations, but also sad it’s not getting another season because I probably would have stuck around to see where it went especially when the first season ended on a cliffhanger.

Luckily for me though there is a book so I think I’ll take a stab at that just so I can find out who killed Will. Unless it’s not revealed there either and then that would just be sad.

AJ and the Queen

I wasn’t sure if I was going to like this one to be honest. I thought maybe it would be too OOT and not really have a plot but I was surprised. Definitely not my favourite of all the shows I’ve watched but it was enjoyable and I did enjoy seeing RuPaul in an acting role. AJ was kind of annoying to me in the beginning but she grew on me.

I know the show was cancelled but I honestly don’t know if I would have wanted another season. And even if they did have a second season I definitely couldn’t see them going beyond that. But yeah, overall a cute show, I enjoy Drag Race and RuPaul so it only made sense to give this show a go.

Tiny Pretty Things

This show definitely seemed like something I would enjoy, but it was kind of messy for me. And by that I mean they had a lot of good drama but it just wasn’t done well? Like I just felt the series was all over the place and they tried to do a lot in season one. Every character seemed to be going through a lot and I felt like they spent about 5 minutes addressing a problem before it moved onto something else. It was wild.

I mean I still don’t even know who half the characters really are and if things are going to be addressed properly in the long term. For example, Oran’s eating disorder, why is that not talked about or noticed more? And then there’s his whole thing with Shane like is that just glossed over and everything is normal again? And I still don’t really know what Neveah’s deal is like I thought she was gonna be the main character but she’s not really, and then she seems to get angry and lash out for no reason most of the time. Not to mention I also hate the friendships in this show, I know that this happens in other shows where everyone’s friends one second and then they are not but in this show it changes SO MUCH and there’s only been 10 episodes…it was just a lot to go through.

So definitely not the best show, but it definitely kept me interested enough to watch until the end. No idea if it will get another season or if I’ll be interested in it just because of the way they tell the story it’s just a bit confusing. I know it is based on a book series so I might give that a go but if it’s as chaotic as the TV show I think I’ll stay away.

And this concludes a month and a half of binge watching Netflix shows. I have to say, I did enjoy this. It was a nice break up from starting to binge a longer show with more seasons because sometimes those get tiring to watch.

I’m not gonna lie, there are definitely more Netflix shows out there that I want to watch, especially when Netflix is releasing new content all the time, but these shows were ones that were pressing me and most that I never made time for until now.

I guess now comes the task of trying to find what’s next, though realistically it will probably be a while before I find something new to really sink into. So until then I have reverted back to watching some Ugly Betty for old times’ sake.
